Kelly Pavlik has been knocked down, it was a flash knockdown though.

Was it waived off as a slip? Why do the official stats say no knockdowns? I missed this... What happened and how was it ruled at the time? Do you know?

Pavlik has fought a much higher level of competition pre-title shot than Taylor did before he fought Hopkins. All Taylor really fought was an old Joppy and a smaller Raul Marquez and his last KO was against Daniel Edouard who has two draws with Dorian Beaupierre who Pavlik starched in two rounds. Pavlik fought an old Mckart who you could compare to Joppy but also fought Zuniga who now owns a fringe belt at supermiddle. Also Zertuche who was on the Mexican Olympic team and when your on that team you know the guy's tough as hell And has done something pre-title shot that Taylor still hasn't done face a puncher like Pavlik did when he fought Miranda.

Agreed.....the problem with Pavlik is that he was ignored for so long. He's had to literally fight his way out of obscurity. That's another reason why he's so dangerous in this next fight. He won't let this opportunity slip away without making a statement.

I actually think that the Miranda who fought Pavlik whoops on Taylor, and on that night for damn sure after seeing how jermain was wincing and twitching every time Spinks hit him with an open slap.
