Eh..of course Taylor has the better resume right now; he's the ****ing WBC Champion and Pavlik will be in his first real title match. You can't look at things like that.

At any rate I'm still going with Pavlik by UD. I'm not convinced that Taylor will be knocked out but he could end up taking a beating and maybe even getting dropped. Pavlik has developed into a busy damaging puncher and I'm not sure Taylor will be able to avoid him or outslug him for 12 rounds. I think he is a very dangerous fight for Taylor, maybe his most dangerous fight yet.

Pavlik had a buzz going into the Miranda fight thanks to his knockouts on ESPN and his previous knock out win on HBO, naturally there is going to be even more attention after he scored a convincing knockout in the eliminator match against another hyped dangerous puncher in a exciting fight. Yeah, that's going to cause a few people to turn their heads and become fans if they weren't already. I see no problem with this logic. Are people not suppose to like him and give him a shot at winning the belt after a big televised win against a not great but reasonably tough opponent in the elimiantor match? Please. Taylor's recent string of poor performances including one on the very show of Pavlik's big win doesn't help matters.

The fact is Pavlik is very untested and people dont seem to understand that despite his 30+ fight he has only fought 3-4 name-worthy opponents, and while his done good against all of them, he has never fought anyone with both speed in power as well as ring generalship and and eye for W's... Jermaine Taylor is a professional fighter who acts as so, he never gets to excited or overwhelmed, and because of it will try to get into a cautious and undercontrolled boxing match with Pavlik.... This fight has to end in a KO because 1. Pavlik is a come at you fighter and doesnt seem to know how not to come forward... 2. Taylor is a very controlled fighter that even when it appears his out of his element or going to lose he some how comes up with a big shot or enough big shots to win!

Taylor will win by 9th rd TKO

This fight is a mis-match people and may be over before 9

It is man and people just cant see it, id love to see Pavlik in the ring with Hopkins or Wright, as good as we say he is i just couldnt see him going 12 with either of them and well that includes Taylor too....
The only question i have for Jermaine is, do you think your getting better? I mean the level of Competition his been fighting since the 1st Hopkins fight has been champ after champ and well like a lot of people are speculating he hasn't looked good or as good as we think he should in the last 2-3 title defenses.

However with this said, i actually spoke to a guy named Kyle Straw who was in the Taylor camp for the last 4 1/2 days, and he told me that from what he has seen and this was the 1st time his every been in Taylors camp, is that Jermaine Taylor looks great and has been saying i aint trained like this for nobody, and all the hard work isnt him perparing for a brutal war, but rather him getting prepared to do major damage within 12 rounds to get The Ghost out of there quick.... My friend also told me he heard Taylor saying things like i aint no Panther im the King of the jungle im the champ, Im going to rock the ghost to sleep and things of that nature that basically signify to me that indeed he does want to brawl with Pavlik and this fight is going to be intresting and maybe quick, and will ultimately end with Taylor having his hand raised!

you didnt really expect Taylor to behave as if he would lose. If he is truly planning on rumbling with Pavlik this is not good news for Taylor fans. This will play into Pavlik's strengths. still I hope he does this so we have some real fireworks.

Okay? What are Pavliks strength and do you think he can captilize on a guy who unlike Miranda is capable of throwing power shots when going backwards and also unlike Miranda is more kin to footwork, jab, power... rather then power, power , power..... Pavlik is a one dimensional fighter much like Jake Lamotta was and while Lamotta for the most part was succsessful, Pavlik is about to fight his Sugar Ray Robinson, And while im sure its going to be an intresting fight and just the thought of it makes me vary on when and even if Pavlik will be KOed i just dont see him being able to deal with the pressure Taylor will put on him with anything of substantiality either offensively or defnesivly!

I predict that taylor may get stunned a couple of times but will rally back to win the fight. Pavlik my not be as skilled as taylor but you can't ignore his power. Pavlik is good enough to land a some good shots on jermain but not enough to dominate him.

If Pavlik catches Taylor with a bomb...it's over......period. So you Taylor fans better start e-mailing him or something...to stay on the outside and box, where he will be safe.

Please explain to me what in Taylor's past matches makes you think he will be unconscious if Pavlik catches him? He has never been knocked out. He has never been knocked down (that I know of). I don't even think Pavlik ****s that hard. Miranda's chin isn't exactly the best, and it took The Ghost 7 rounds to knock him out. Obviously if he catches Jermain on the chin with a bomb, then yes, but that's not a criticism of Taylor, that is a criticism of the human body. Most people are out after getting their chin crushed by a power punch.

Some people are only basing Pavlik on his last match with an overrated fighter. Pavlik has never fought someone in the league of Taylor. His competition has not been close to Taylor's in his professional career. Also, Taylor beat Pavlik in the amateurs, which is another reason why i'm leaning towards Taylor to beat him.
