I am surprised by your answers . Beckham is the most famous soccer player in the world and most americans dont know who he is . Floyd mayweather is the most famous boxer in boxing and all americans would know who he is.

Great point, yes in the States he is more popular for being David Beckham married to posh ****e rather than being this great footballer but his fame may pull more people to the sport which in turn will make the sport more popular in the states.

Because if you seen in the time when Ali was boxing it was all war and stuff and Ali did someone heroic by not going to war because of the black people so in other words people was drawen into boxing because of that and lived for quit will til the 90s or so.
