well atleast they are not using steriod like many of the amercian sport and fake his ability.


Another thing if you think football is a womans games then you are saying that most of the world are feminie because everybody in the world loves football and you rarely see anyone loving amercian sport like Baseball, Amercian football and Basketball that much.

Agreed... its one part of football i really can't stand either.

I might sound biased or perhaps blind by some kind of nationalism... but i think British football players hardly ever dived on the floor, especially if compared to other European football nations. Sadly this horrible aspect of cheating is starting to grow here in England too -and its ****ing crap.


They should give fines and match bans automatically if after the match you can easily see a deliberate dive. Have a press conference and just say..."player x will not play for 4 games because of... this.. this and this..." They'd soon learn.

English league is one of the hardest to substain injury. Things that happen there that in other country you will get a red card.

It just there way of playing there are more of body and tactic then skills generally.

If you’re talking about what they typical American might partake in, then it is in fact soccer. Most children play it and then as you get older the ones that stick with it have the opportunity to partake in at various levels. I would meet a lot more people in this country that has played soccer than has gotten into a ring and boxed.

But if you are talking strictly about what an American will watch and is in our psyche, then it’s boxing by a landslide. Even the non-fans have probably heard of a boxer or two. Beyond Bechham, even most hard-core sports fans would struggle to name a soccer player or even a MLS team. Its on TV a lot more and discussed a lot more often on sports radio. In fact, the only time soccer is ever talked about here is during the World Cup, and even then not all that much.

I'm sure it’s a great sport, but soccer has just never caught on here in this country in terms of what people watch.

Bottom line is this...in the USA,we don't care about soccer.
And yes,ok...it's the greatest game in the world,the best sport...played by more people than any other sport.

I agree with all that...but we don't care.I wish that certain groups in this country would stop trying to shove it down our throats...like this Beckham signing.

My son played soccer in jr.high...just to get in shape for basketball season.

And it's funny...just the other day,I walked by him as he was channel surfing,he went right by a soccer game,without stopping.

footballs too ****in difficult for yanks. all well and good usin youre hands to play sports with. any **** can swing a bat or throw a ball. give a novice a baseball bat and theres a chance he could twat the ball distance, give him a basketball and most people could have a decent stab at gettin a ****in 'hoop' or whatever its called

always makes me laugh when 'soccer' referred to as a girls game too. the whole of the wide wide world cant be wrong. i mean, for ****s sake, baseball is rounders (girls game), basketball is netball (lol), ice hockey is ****in hockey (like netball my sister plays that in school) and american football is ****in rugby with pads and helmets so you cant get ****in injured

to be honest it not as a hardman sport as it used to be cus 10 - 15 years ago it way way roughter and yes there overpaided as is any other sportsman e.g tigerwoods but it still way better than any sport the americans have ever invented
