Other then that I'll just turn around a go to sleep. At leaset with Hatton, you kniw you'll get some excitment.

    Just My opinion
That was before, like I said before when he was fighting in the US,I liked him. Now that he's fighting in the states he's boring. The BEFORE Hatton was alot better.

      Reasons People Dislike Hatton:

-Hatton is supposed to be Britain's answer to Arturo Gatti, but he's been more like John Ruiz.

-Hatton's fans overhype him to no end. Since 2005: Kostya Tszyu was the best jr. welterweight of all-time, was #1 P4P when Hatton faced him, Collazo was a top welterweight and very strong, and Urango was a powerful monster with an undefeated record. I'm sure JLC will be referred to as the greatest lightweight and the man who beat Mayweather once Hatton's done with him.

-Calls out fighters he never intends on fighting.

-Says other fighters are boring when his hugging is the most unwatchable thing in the entire sport.

The only reason I can think of is the excessive clinching in his past two fights. I think thats in the past though, and I dont think hes going to do it again because he didnt do it much before then.

Thats the problem............do you think his clinching habits are going to be cured overnight. All of the sudden for this fight he will decide not to clinch?

What a dumbass statement. Just horrible and a slap in the face to boxing fans all over the world. So is your favorite boxers list in your sig an attempt at reverse racism? Besides one black dude, your own taste shows some bias so maybe you should chill with the speculation of who boxing fans would rather see at the top in terms of race/ethnicity. What a joke.

But anyhow, Ricky Hatton deserves a lot of respect IMO. He shows great skills, toughness, heart, hangs with the common folk, influences kids positively, and is just overall great for the sport. I guess he's everything that a boxer should be nowadays. He's had a few rocky fights, but most fighters go through that at some point in their career, especially after 42 fights.

Why do European (mainly UK) fans give a **** about what Americans think about Hatton. It screams of you begging for us to accept Hattin when you make strictly threads about European fighters and then attempt to assume why Americans dislike them. Get over it and get off the net if you don't like what you see. Go support your boy on a Hatton message board if you can't deal with the criticism and then sink to pathetic, not-even-remotely-funny insults like "fat yanks" or whatever.

It's not racist to root for a boxer(s) who's the same nationality or race as you are - many people do. What is nasty and/or racist is someone having an avator or a signature that's deliberately degrading to a certain nationality or race. If someone came on this board day after day trying to discredit boxers of a certain nationality, creating threads and posts to try to prove fighters of a certain nationality or race are inferior, then that person is racist or prejudiced.
