Why do Fat Yanks dislike Hatton so much, in general?

I never used to like the guy at all myself, but I've started to feel sorry for the guy after hearing how he ****s kittens on here every single day of the week.

I don't get it, the numbers don't add up. It seems like at least 70-80% of US posters on here really dislike the guy, which is at odds with what I'd expect.

I'm trying to understand it... I mean, is it just that most of his most vocal detractors have low IQs and the reading/writing age of 11 year olds? (you know who you are already).

I read lots of ****** **** about him that's completely disproportionate to the reality, or comments from people who then say stuff like "I've only seen 1 Hatton fite."

If you've only seen two or three fights, you should really, you know... shut the **** up and get educated. I never post about ANY boxer on here until I've seen AT LEAST four of their fights. But then what do I know, I'm just the guy who told you Miranda was one or two fights away from a defeat....

Although The Paler has had a few below par performances of late (he had a viral infection for Urango, apparently, hence the late hugging) I'd expect to see at least a 50-50 split in terms of like/dislike.

    So what's the deal?

He's a hugger and he's boring with the fights he's had in America,I think that will do it.

See, I'm not generally a fan of his style, it's not my thing, but I did think the Collazo fight was quite a good one. Though I guess that's the controversial one.

So you're saying that people aren't watching his older stuff, that's the gist of it, maybe? Cos I like to download the back catalogue of fighters, I'm working my way through Taylor right now...

people dont give a **** about his older stuff because it was against non p4p/gatekeeper competition, alot of peoples older fights are like that, but people care about what you do now, at the moment and especially against stepped up competition, which is why saturdays fight is so important for hatton. i was a fan when he was coming up, and quickly became not a fan after the tszyu fight, i dont think i have ever done that before, but i had to, his hugging tactics are unbearable.

I don't personally dislike him, but I hate watching him. His excessive clinching is just not tolerated in boxing. Just like we all hate to watch Ruiz

The Hatton of old was a superb body puncher, now this Hatton is a damn hugger. I admit I really like the old Hatton,Ive seen his fights when he was just in the UK and they were really exciting. His main reason for coming to America was too be a known name,in this he is failing. It seems all he does he hug every 5 seconds. Americans have heard the hype and we want results.

That's the best answer I can think of as well..
Heard the hype, want him to live up to it.
