boxing is awesome thats why i watch it , mma is awesome thats why i watch it, to say that people from other sport arent skilled .... just proves how ignorant you are. boxer train only the striking part, while top mma fighters (top guys not guys like forrest griffen and chris leben ,guys who are portrayed much better then they are) are top guys in judo , K1 kickboxing, olympic level wrestling etc etc.... they train everything

Hagler didn't show much skill later in his career.

That's why you see MMA fighters looking like old grandpas by the 3 round, unless they're strikers who have not gone to the ground yet.
yeah mirko crocop himself said it, grappling is far more exhausting.

No, you aim for the quads, not the shins or knees. You block with the shins. Where do you get that from?

Damn, he couldn't do anything against those leg kicks. Those had to hurt bad.

Wrestling around on the ground is probably one of the most draining things you can do in this world.

i used to box , now i do judo , and IMO 3 minutes of randori is more exhausting then 3 minutes of sparring.

Do they block with their shins?
In Shaolin kung fu, we alwas blocked kicks somewhat with the side, not with the actual shinbone.

Gabriel Gonzaga is NOT a bum. He's a world-class BJJ black belt, who knows how to throw some devastating elbows to a person's tempo. CroCop got too many elbows to his tempo when Gonzaga took him down, and then got leveled with a RHK when his vision was practically gone. A world class BJJ black belt who can punch, kick, and has deadly GnP is a bum?

if you take a look at 56 second left of the video you will notice the boxer go for a clinch with typical boxing instinct ,you would never want to set your self up for a clinch with a mma fighter ,the boxer even falls at will ,in mma the ref dosent call it a slip and tell you get up you will fight off the ground

All i'm saying is i agree with hagler most mma fighters have no skill esspecially the stand up one's. some have skill on the floor but only a few. Theres this one fighter in japan i think his name is kid yamato or something he is bloody skilled in the ground work. Also regarding that video of the kickboxer vs boxing, have a look at andy souwer i think his name is all he does is boxer and maybe kicks once a fight and he ko's everybody in k1 max.
