I don't like floyd, he's one of those fighters I wouldn't cry about if he got killed in the ring. I don't like how people compare him to greats like Ali, and Hopkins. Or even go as far as saying he's better then either of those two fighters.

PBFs 5 weights or Joes or Hopkins 20 defenses. On paper it would look better p4p wise for PBF. BUt look more closely you have to judge by the opponents and how they handled them. PBF'd weight has fluctuated and because of his hyperactivity and almost attention deficit disorder he moves about a lot and cant stay still. He just so happened to be a 130lb b4 but he couldnt make that weight now.
Joe was expexted to lose to Lacy but totally dominated him and hardly took a punch. That was far more impressive than PBF v Gatti imo.
Joe going unbeaten for so long and so has PBF so it is close imo. But PBF is No1 so the experts obviously think 5 weights is better for PBF just like it was for RJJ.

Gatti is not even in one of Floyd's 5 best wins. Most dominating, but not his best win.

Floyd's resume and accomplishments are superior to Calzaghe, and he's been fighting for less time as a pro than Joe has.

Yet, joes still more entertaining to watch. And boxing is about entertainment. *My opinion that Calzaghes funner to watch*... Floyd puts me to sleep, hopefully he doesn't fight like he normally does in this upcoming fight

yes if it is against proper champs.....there are many opps to move up and fight for vacant titles or move up at the right time and fight a bum-champ.

You guys talk about Mayweather like he's already beaten Oscar. I guess you guys know the outcome of the fight already...

It depends against who and how you win 5 titels in diffrent division. If you beat "the man" in every division then its more impressive then defending your title 20 times, even if it is against good opponents.

floyd mayweather: five titles in four divisions. (has fought some of the best in the sport)

phony calzone: 20 fraudulent title defenses. (has fought some of the most mediocre and unknown fighters in his one paltry division)

                  'nuf said.

me personally i like the 20 defenses over the 5 weight classes, due to the fact that as you grow older you naturally gain weight, and as it is obvious thats what someone does when moving up in weight because 1: they drop weight to be bigger against smaller guys 2: stamina goes down usually was you move up in weight.

staying in the same weight class is very tough unless you're a heavyweight, especially if you're staying in a weight class that you started your career at or at least one weight class above or below. but keeping the weight off and stalling father time a bit in the weight department, to me that is impressive, very impressive.

not saying that moving up in weight isnt impressive but usually its predictable and a very common move, winning the titles in every weight class is not common, but you get the picture......

You said it like it is. PBF can eat like a king now as well with all his money. When you are a nipper and young you are naturally light and pbf obviously wanted to be in as low a fighting weight as he could get away with.
DLH did it as well and these 5 weight guys get a lot of attention.
