I thought I'd see what was gonna on in NSB.

Of course, $iN could be just asking this question about Hopkins, right?

But seriously, it's a silly question. I mean, The Blow's comp ain't that great, but if you're boasting about Floyd winning "weight titles" cos he beat Arturo Gatti and Carlos ****ing Baldomir, then you need to have a word with yourself.

Both are impressive (though not as impressive as they might seem as both involve questionable quality) and NEITHER of them should EVER be considered 'a joke' by any sane person.

With that said, perhaps someone could post a list of all the people who have accomplished each of these remarkable feats so that I can judge properly from history.

That all depends, if you've beaten the lineal champion at every weight then surely that's a better accomplishment, but if you haven't the 20 defences is alot better.

            Wins against Gatti. Baldo. Judah.

And now fighting an old, almost retired DLH. That's not impressive. Anyone can be undefeated.

The question of greatness is not measured by titles nor weight divisions. Hagler stayed at one weight and still is considered a top 10, top 20 great. Use your common sense dude.

The true measure of greatness is the who's who and how you won it.

            In short.

            Resume.

            PLAIN and BASIC COMMON SENSE.

No fighter has ever won more than 3 lineal titles in 3 different weight classes in the history of boxing. How would you expect someone to do that in 5 divisions? Are you implying that Calzaghe is more accomplished than Sugar Ray Robinson?

I'd rather go with 20 consecutive title defenses in a row. Because while both feats are extremely impressive, the 20 consecutive title defenses would not have the kind of effect on your body as jumping up in weight rapidly does.

Twist my words why don't you?

No, Calzaghe isn't more accomplished than SRR, but if you win 5 weight class titles but neither of them came from the lineal champion, the 20 defenses are better, simple as.

I've to go with 5 titles, but if a boxer have 20 title defenses against other quality fighters then that will be my pick.

20 title defenses is harder becuase you have to fight who ever earns the right.. when u move up you can duck and dodge people... thats the only reason people move up unless they cant make weight
