Yes he is already a legend. One of the best ever. It will be 5 titles in 5 different weightclasses at age 30.

Yes, but like Oscar, not all of those title represented the legit championship on the division.

      Just sayin'. (^_^)

Floyd is not one of the best ever, yet, based on his resume. However, he is a very good fighter (resume) and based on skills and how he wins (performance) he is very excellent.

Skill wise you can say he's a legend, but not by the quality of the fighters he's fought except for a few. He shouldn't retire after Oscar!

Hes a punk. He keeps sayin after this fight he's retiring. He wants to retire early without fighting the best of his time because he doesn't want to lose, which he knows is very possible. Later on in years some people will say, "OOh, he retired undefeated." And then the smarter people will say, "Oh, but he didn't fight the best of his time. Cotto, Williams, Margarito, Mosley, and a ****load of other great fighters challenged him and he ducked them."

If Mayweather continues his carreer and at least fights some of the other greats of this generation, then he'd be pretty great. But until then, hes a chump punk.

This Floyd hate is amazing, especially from Hitman18, who said that Oscar does not "jab 3 times and run to win a fight", implying that Floyd does. You're right about Oscar, he didnt do that to win the Tito fight, all he did was run and he lost as a result. Floyd has never ran, if you think he jabs 3 times and run I don't think you've ever seen him fight at all.

Also, it's such a double standard that if Floyd beats Oscar people won't give him credit, because those are the same people that said if Oscar beat B-Hop it would make him legendary. B-Hop was 7 years older than Oscar while Oscar is just 4 older than Floyd, and the size disparity is larger between Floyd and Oscar than between Oscar and B-Hop. People said if Oscar lost it wouldn't affect his legacy because he fought a larger man, but if he won it would add to it immensely. Those same people say if Floyd loses, then it will be obvious that he was never that good. Very contradictory if you ask me.

If Floyd beats Oscar at 154 it will make him one of the top 10 or maybe even top 5 GOATs IMO. This is a man who could still fight at 135, who shut out the undisputed welterweight champ (a weight class he has no business being in) and is now jumping to 154 to fight a guy who has been there since 2001, when he himself was at 135. If anyone thinks that beating Oscar doesn't make him at least a top 10 ATG, they either are pure haters or blind to his talents. There is no way a guy as little as Floyd should be given a chance against a guy Oscar's size, however, due to his otherworldy skills, Floyd is the favorite in this fight. This shows how good he is in that people don't even think about how far off from his natural weight he is fighting in, because his skills are so amazing that he is still the favorite against a much larger man. Just talking about this fight and his chances shows what a legendary talent he is, because his size disadvantage is enourmous, now, when you then realize he is the favorite of this fight, it's just a testament to how special this guy is.

Certain people are obviously allowing their judgement to be clouded due to the fact we are talking about mayweather.

Ask yourself, how much Better is hopkins' resume than Floyd's, if is at all? how many people Hoplkins fight that were his own weight etc?, yet people are quick to talk about hopkins as an all time great lol.

Which do you prefer, black pots or black kettles?

I didnt know being a 4 weight world champ and undeafeated in 37 didnt make you a legend.

He was linear champ in 3 out of those 4 weights, the only reason it wasnt in all four was because u know who refused to fight him, asking for 13 million to do so and pricing himself out.

People are quick to point who he hasn't fought, ever thought thats because certain top fighters might not wanna fight him? When he has called out people in the past we have heard things like toothache and tune-ups being used as excuses and no one bats an eyelid.

He won his First title at 21 at 130 against the champ, Hernandez who made plenty of defences.
His 1st fight at 135 was Castillo, the champ.
His 1st fight is 154 is De La Hoya

Are you sure he is not a legend?

                      lol
