    Mayweather a legend?

Do you guys think that Mayweather is already a legend? What about if he beats Oscar? I think Mayweather is going to be a name people think about when they talk about this era of boxers but I think Mayweather has to fight Mosley to be a true legend in the eyes of true boxing fans. I think he will beat Oscar, but I think he has to beat the man that beat Oscar. I mean Mayweather is a great fighter but he hasn’t fought the type of fighters Oscar or Mosley have. What do you guys think?

        Undeatfeated in 37 Fights

Beat Hernandez, Castillo (In his 1st fight at 135 and then beat him again), Corrales (who people claimed he was ducking and would knock mayweather out), Judah the real Linear champ at 147.

4 weight World champ, and the only reason he wasn't the lineal champ all all of those weights, is because a certain someone demanded 13 million to fight him at 140 pounds, pricing themselves out.

        All this by Age 29.

So based on achivements, he's a legend.

Skill for Skill, he's more than a Legend IMO.

A legend is a fighter who you remember many of his fights in 20 years. I might remember the gatti fight.

I think he is big because of perfect timing.. He came around just at the right time when there is really no one out there. I don't think he wouldn't be as big if he came about the 80's or 90's. Of course he looks great fighting B and C type fighters. I give him cred. for Castillo and Corrales, not so much Judah since he just came from a loss from Baldomir. When it comes to fighting some decent names though he acts like he ain't listening and makes excuses like first its about the money, then its about the legacy.. etc. Turning down 8 mil to fight Marg.. So Im glad he took the fight with Oscar even though he a bit old he still have some fight in him. If he takes on Mosley after I will give him all the respect he deserves but untill then he aint cool in my book.

The only way you become the best is to fight the best.

I don't know mayweather personally, so i dont know how much Courage and Heroism he has,

On the other hand it is widely accpeted that he fought JLC in his first fight at 135 and won (controversially) with a broken hand and torn rotator cuff.

He promply gave JLC an immeidate rematch.

Thereofore there is a possiblity he might have some courage and Heroism lol.

There are more people that think he hasn't fought the "best" and he just runs his mouth, then there are people that think his record is impressive. Don't get me wrong his skills are crazy and he is my favorite boxer but I would hate for him to go out and not have fought the best. To me if he were to beat Sugar Shane he would be among the best and not just remembered as one of the most skilled fighters.

Mayweather's legacy doesnt depend on Mosely at all, dont be decieved by the scorecards on the Collazo fight, Collazo was hitting him with clean right hands throughout the fight, Mosely clearly won, but was getting tagged, i dont think Mosely is good enough defenisivley to beat PBF.

Mayweather's legacy depends alot on the generation who fight after him, if they are poor, his achievements will be maginified, ala Lennox Lewis, who people didnt appriciate at the time, but now we have Valuev he is remembered fondly lol.
