Not a legend because he hasn't fought anyone that could push him... not corrales... not menfredy... not any title fight he's had... not gatti... Zab only had him for 4-5 rounds (And I like ZAB alot) .....Oscar will be defeated... but it wont make mayweather a legend just yet.. he needs to get in trouble a few times and be forced to show heart that he has.

Oscar definately won't be a legend... every big name he's beaten was beaten by Trinidad first... no dis*****g that...

trinidad is more legend that oscar that tells me.

Oscar needs this fight... and so does Floyd.. both need it to even have a chance of being legends like hopkins.

Nope, Oscar de La Hoya will never be a legend,

        here's why

He is a 6 weight world champion. from 130-160lbs.
He is the biggest star in boxing since Ali.
        He won Olympic Gold.
He has fought nearly every great fighter of his generation.

Yep, suddenly it all makes sense, lol.

BUT HOPKINS, HE IS A LEGEND

        he fought

        Robert Allen x3
        William Joppyx2
        Howard Eastman
        A blown up tito trinidad
a blown up De La hoya, who began his carrer @130.

another great thing about Hopkins is the fact he spent his carrer picking on smaller fighters than him,

he is a legend for being a 180+ pound man who boiled down to 160 because he had some losses at Lightheavy and didnt wanna fight there for a while.

Also the fact he dodged RJJ like the plague after he got schooled the first time.

The one time Hopkins fought a real middleweight, He lost twice.

Yup De La Hoya will never be a legend, but Hopkins, he is already one.

        lol!

Oh my daze, he beat Tarver who was finshed from piling on pounds for rocky and then having to lose it quickly to fight b-hop.

              Who is Hopkins fighting now?

              Oh yeah

a 154 pound winky is gonna have to go up to 170 to fight hopkins, lol.

Im not saying hopkins aint a class fighter, or a legend in his own right,

but let me break it to you like this

If de la hoya aint a legend,

No way on this earth is Hopkins one.

              lol.

Most skilled fighter I've ever seen. I doubt anybody could think of anyone better.
