Now ask yourself... Does that sound Like Floyd Mayweather???
Well he has never lost and so far he has pretty much beaten everybody easily with the exception of a few fights. So we really couldn't judge if he has courage and heroisim. I know some say that he hasn't fought the best and you may be right, but he has beaten some quality opponents.

To say he is a legend now would be a little premature. His skills are probably legendary, but IMO he needs some more big fights to become a true legend.

Skills wise he is impressive and his record at a glance looks the business being 4 weight champ. My god his weight fluctuates doesnt it?
And he has on the whole looked very impressive in the way he has beaten his opponents. But, at the end of the day the way i look at it the best opponent he has beaten is Castillo and he didnt look that great in those fights. I dont know if it is coincidence that when he happened to box a highly rated fighter he didnt look so good. THis is telling me i need PBF to answer more questions and i wont just say to myself "4 weight champ undefeated, so he is a legend"
He can win titles in 4 weights. But can he beat boxers that are better than Castillo is the bottom line. And there are a lot of boxers better than Castillo.

NO HE IS NOT A LEGEND IMO. Yea sure, he has some good skills, fought some good people, hasn't lost in 37 fights. But honestly, its all hype. I'm sure there are handfulls of people with 37-0 or better. Same thing with DLH. But, DLH fought Mosley in his prime, twice, fought B-Hop, Tito in his prime, Vargas when people said he was ducking him, Gatti when people said he couldn't win against a brawler, Mayorga when people said he was finished, Ike Quartey, and more. Oscar fights in his fights. He doesn't run and jab three times to win a fight. DLH respected all his opponents, win or lose, and damn well knew he was fighting some very skilled people. On the other hand, Mayweather fought nobody til Chico, who probably didn't train hard for this fight given his personal life, he fought Gatti who Mayweather called a B fighter and people already knew Gatti was near the end of his rope, had trouble with Judah, though he still beat him so credit for that, he fought Baldomir who was slower than a snail and got credit for beating a finished Gatti and a horrible Judah,
and fought Castillo in which his first fight wasn't convincing enough to persuade even his own fans that he won, and ran like a ***** in his second fight.

DLH fights everyone in their primes (including Mayweather), and gives a good fight and gives 200% of himself. Mayweather wins by fighting fighters who are done, and has only really beat like two marquee fighters, and runs like a ***** in every fight knowing he can't hang but to hit really fast and then run. Watch many clips of Mayweather on tv and you'll see him knocking guys out, but half the time the guy is someone you've never seen. Gatti, done, Chico, okay one time, Judah, hit and ran, Baldomir, hit and ran. Yeah, real impressive.

HELL NO NOT LEGENDARY!!! DLH IS A LEGEND!!!

Lets not get Crazy, DHL is not a legend. He's a superstar boxing figure but not a legend. Mayweather is on his way, but even if he beats DHL and Mosley I still won't say he's legend. He needs to fight more NOW fighters, fighters who arn't getting rusty but are hungry. Cotto, Hatton, Margarito, & Williams. If he can take out two of them then He'll be a Legend.

I wanna see that fight as well. If there is somebody that can match Floyd athletically its Mosely. Shane's power will be good at 147 and he could hurt Mayweather.

                  legend? i dont think so

im not of fan of his anymore but after he beat gernaro hernandez
i thought he was on his way (legendary status) by beating some good contenders manfredy, jukko, then going on to beat corrales, carlos hernandez, jesus chavez, castillo (all in that order)

he showed some guts and heart in the first castillo fight but i still thought he lost
so he took castillo on again and this time everybody agreed he won
but he did it with a safety first approach which i gave him a pass because **** it castillo when have u ever seen castillo lose going head on with someone (beside the miracle corrales pulled)

well after the second castillo fight hes talk to much and not delivered

but i really think people underrate what he did at 130 and beating castillo (second fight)

after mayweather loss corrales went on to beat casamayor, frietas, castillo and become the lightweight champ,
carlos hernandez went on to win a belt at 130 then lose in a competive fight against at the time a top ten p4p fighter named erik morales
jesus chavez same as c.hernandez and also a belt at 135
and theirs jose luis castillo prior to losing to mayweather he beat stevie johnston and cesar basan and after the mayweather fights he went on to beat juan lazcano to become the lightwieght champ ,casamayor , julio diaz, and probably the best fight ive ever seen against corrales

if mayweather can face this level of comp after the oscar fight then yeah he will be a legend amongst boxing fans and experts

if he wins oscar he will be considered a legend amongst casual fans and pretty boy fanatics

I want to see Floyd tested as Roy was in the 1st Tarver fight, and Roy came through with a huge heart. But based on accomplishments, I see no reason why Floyd cannot be a legend if he beats Oscar. But he would be better off to keep fighting after that and get more names.

Like most, I wouldn't say Mayweather's a legend, but his accomplishments can't be denied either, I think in the end history will judge him as a legend in his time.
