i have heard that tyson has the hardest punch on record at 1750 psi. i dont know whether its true though. i think a lot of people think that tysons power is overrated because holmes said so. but a lot of tysons opponents like tubbs, spinks, bruno, saverese and seldon say that tyson had unbelievable power.

People aren't trying to suggest that Tyson is a ****ing douchebag who couldn't KO people. They're saying he didn't punch as hard as people like Shavers, Foreman, etc; despite getting plenty of KO's under his belt.
all that didnt bother me. its when they were trying to say lewis?.ruddock.dempsey? thats what I was bothered by.

I respect Holmes, but he's saying that Tyson's power is overrated because it was a memorable embarassment on his career. He didn't want to magnify it by callig him a big puncher.

If Shavers had of had the fundamental boxing ability and accuracy of Tyson he could have literally killed people in the ring. It's the same with Foreman, he was hurting people with arm shots and glancing blows which is insane. Tyson had great power, but it was his pin-point accuracy and combination punching that really did the damage. Shavers was like a sniper, one shot was all that was needed. Tommy Morrison had power, but to put his name up there with Shavers and co is silly IMO.

holmes never said tysons power was overrated or wasnt good. when asked by a reporter who hit harder,,,shavers or tyson,,,holmes responded by saying shavers hit harder but that tyson was a sharper puncher. those were his exact words right after being stopped by tyson

yea,,,shavers was a beast. that right hand he dropped holmes with and that uppercut he flattened ellis with was brutal. he swung all his weight into his shots from his feet to his shoulders. by the way,,,I dont think morrison hit as hard as shavers or foreman,,was just pointing out guys I thought hit harder than tyson. I think morrison hit slightly harder than tyson for what its worth
