    Just to clafify some ****.

Force = mass x acceleration... that however is if other things are equal and constant

Form, accuracy, drive, etc all lead to punching power. Also; I don't think many people (as the title suggests) think Shavers "hit so much harder than tyson"... I feel most informed people believe Shavers hit harder; and I tend to agree.

You know **** about the sport and it's different variables, do you?

Ruddock was the harder hitter, between him and Tyson. But Tyson had the other things (speed, accuracy, timing) which, combined, proved deadlier than the brute strength of those others. You think that knockouts= Pure power? Or do you just not understand the damn topic at all?

You can make the same case for some of those guys you have on that list.
who said it was overrated? some on here overrate it. he had very good power. but there were some fighters that had more power ( more force in there punches)

he said who hit harder. is it tysons fault that he was accurate and had alot of speed behind his punches? I mean who the **** breaks down some1s punch like that and say"oh it was his speed also" a punch is a punch. ruddock had some speed on his also,if he didnt he wouldnt have really been able to catch ppl with his smash punch.

and a contact from a punch is a ****in contact, whats the point of breakin some1s punch down. how many times have u seen tyson use brute strength to ko some1. now did u get it?

oh yeah james toney hit harder then tyson also right? cause if the bull**** im hearing it sure does sound like it. ive never ever heard ruddocks name mentioned in the top hitters thing ever besides today. boy thats laughable

Well im asking you why you think so. You're just saying they have more power, and that's it.

Your logic is laughable as usual Versatile. By using it I can establish that I'm the hardest hitting fighter in the world despite never using my brute strength to get a KO; and instead boxing circles around my opponents.... but everybody knows I could punch through a brick wall.

you dont hear much about ruddocks name becuz he wasnt a very good all around fighter and didnt beat any big names but his left hook was murderous and there was tremendous power behind it. if you cant see that in his fights youre blind

                  WHO IS THE HARDER PUNCHER?

THAT IS THE QUESTION WE ARE CONTEMPLATING. NOT WHO IS THE FASTER, OR MORE ACCURATE.

It was brought up to prove that while some people have brute strength with massive punches.... Tyson wasn't nescesarily like them. He used his speed and accuracy for tools to KO his opponents. That is/was the entire point people try to make.

People aren't trying to suggest that Tyson is a ****ing douchebag who couldn't KO people. They're saying he didn't punch as hard as people like Shavers, Foreman, etc; despite getting plenty of KO's under his belt.
