Against Trinidad he proved to be both the best of his era in his weight range, but also to lkack something. That something was not boxing ability. Can you picture Trinidad ever really beating him? I can't.

After that his fights are less frequent, but when you add up the whole you can't say he did not fight all the best fighters of nearly two decades from 130-160. Not all performances were spectacular, but some were. And too many are controversial. Someone mentioned his close and questionable victories. Well his defeates (minus only Hopkins) were that way too.
Being in a fight doesnt warrant "greatness"! and what big time comp has he ever KO'd? In the sport of boxing if u take too many shots ur gonna get KO'd. those people he fought just stood there and took a pounding(and so was Trinidad until DLH felt the power once and started runnin). and to add to that, what "great" says the fight is over after 7 or 8 rds? I mean DLH sttod in there with all the other people he KO'd, whay didnt he stay in there ith Trinidad? In order to be the man u have to beat da man! in DLH's case beat any man...lol

Dummy why are you asking us for the facts:

Ruelas, Hernandez, Chavez 2x, Rivera, Carr, Vargas, Mayorga.

Many of them were undefeated and had not been knocked out. If they don't count as "big time" then he also beat these guys:

            Whitaker, Quartey, Camacho.

This is a watse of my time. Why are you asking ****** questions here?

Carr, Vargas, and Mayorga were beaten to death by Trinidad first...Whitaker and Quartey were close controversial wins...

SO now we resort to name calling. In the first list u rattled off only "name of significance was Chavez(who was already old and beat up). Vargas had been ko'd by Trinidad and so did ur other "big tyme" guy, Mayorga. since when was oba carr "big tyme"? dont overrate those guys to prove that DLH is not overrated. no such thing as a double-negative. Whitaker and Quartey controversial decisions in which most people think DLH lost both fights. Camacho?--Please!!!!!

We're not stating he's one of the greatest fighters of all time. I think his success leaves a lot of people bitter. Don't you think?

                      Geoff is back?

Anyways, I agree with Geoff. DLH at lightweight was unbelievable. And he beat Quartey at welter, who was a very good fighter. Now I've heard that Sweet Pea was robbed and I havent seen the fight so I cant give my opinion on that. I do think he was robbed against Tito though.
