How do you regard Carl Froch?

I'm starting to warm to him more as a boxer. I'm still not sold, but he's just stopped a previous unstopped boxer (admittedly mainly a middleweight, but he'd been in with the likes of Bute and The Nuff Tumper) and took him out in two rounds. And it was EASY for him, too.

Of course, the thread questions whether he's world class. But the world level is so shallow nowadays that he already IS on the world class level, at least as far as rankings go.

I agree Froch-Bute could be a real cracker. I just feel fairly convinced Froch would be the one getting cracked.

Would REALLY like to see that.

IF Froch beats someone like Bute, I'd have to totally reconcider my views on Froch (would absolutely hate that).
Mind you - there aren't many who falls into the "like Bute" category.

It's time to face a real contender. I would like to see him against a guy with real power and speed. Anybody in the top ten would still be a major step up.

I have always felt the cobra could do something but am still waiting for him to beat someone of note. I have been impressed with the wanabee snake in the past and just knocking out a russian that has never been stopped impresses me. Its just that same thing again. I just didnt actually know who this russian dude was.
