Joe Calzaghe lives in Wales where everyone lives in castles. It's true, they either live in castles or pubs and Joe doesn't live in a pub. Here is where Joe Calzaghe lives:

That's why Roy Jones Jr never went to wales to fight him. How the hell do you get into a castle? Joe would pour boiling oil on Roy as he tried to scale the walls or something.

Hes fought in Germany once, Denmark once and Scotland once.
Every other fight has been in England or Wales.

And youll never hear me say Joe isnt a great fighter.
But he could make SO much more of himself and isnt cashing in on the oppourtounity.

        Hahahahahaha.
On a serious note though, the number 1 p4p fighter in the world wasnt about to go fight some young ****y kid in his hometown and make less money than he would fighting in the US.

I don't think much of Taylor as "Elite" either. He is good, but not overly impressive. I would favor Joe.

For Hopkins vs. Joe, Prime vs. Prime, I would actually favor Hopkins. The Hopkins most people seem to think is Hopkins is the man that fought Tito onwards, but this is not Hopkins at his full power. He had lost a bit of his power, and his aggressive style at that point (for the Tito fight).

When I made a remark in this direction I said Joe vs. 'Nard right now. I was staying away from 'prime vs. prime' kind of stuff.

Lacy took a chance in going over seas to fight Calzaghe. I dont see why Joe cant do the same.

You do realise Scotland is part of the same United Kingdom that Wales and England comprise?

Calzaghe has fought outside Wales more often than not. I know it's quite difficult for some people over the pond to understand but you're spouting bull**** if you think him fighting in england or scotland means he's going to be the home town favourite. Take the Eubank, Woodhall or Reid fights for example - in all cases he was most definitely not the crowd favourite.

ah, then I would favor Joe. Nard got to much credit for fighting a deflated Tarver.

I do understand that, but my point was more than his birthplace (England) and his home country (wales) are where all of his fights have taken place except 3.
Im not talking about home town favorite, im talking about him not taking chances and making potentially huge fights and instead fighting in Wales or Englad when you could be fighting in the US against premire opponents for millions of dollars.
