    Running away?
How is making big fights in Las Vegas and MSG for millions of dollars against quality opponents running away??
Joe is the one who is suffering here, financially and in regards to his resume.
He may always be the fighter that "could have been" one of the greats if he stays in the UK and continues to fight the fighters he is fighting.

I'm not going to agree that 'Nard's running, but fighting Winky Wright at 172lbs or whatever is not taking a tenth the risk that fighting Calzaghe would be.

I'm not saying that they shouldn't, because I think fighting around the world does add alot to the character and legacy of a fighter (Ahem, American fighters, you take notice too), but Calzaghe is the man at 168, technically people should come to him.
        I would disagree.
Its definitly where the money is, and more big fights take place in the USA then in the rest of the world combined.
And I agree that Joe is number one at Super Middle (obviously) but he isnt the linear champion.
If I were Joe I would try and be proactive and make the big fights on the big stage.
He keeps talking about how hes the best supermiddle, when instead he should just go out there and prove it by unifying.

Joe Calzaghe is a great fighter and if anybody disagrees with that, they need a lobotomy. Competition or not, he's fought world champions and contrary to belief, he HAS fought outside of his home country many times.

20+ title defenses won't go unnoticed, he's dismissed every fighter he's ever fought against and his career is yet to finish.

Does Fuego actually think Taylor would beat Calzaghe? That's a homer pick if there ever was one, but I won't put words in his mouth.

Joe isn't the Linear champion? Then please tell me who is, Calzaghe's been a champion in the division for how many years? Exactly, belts don't mean a thing.

I'm not saying he's an all time great, but a great fighter.

Yeah, you should have seen him defending Taylor when he fought Winky, he must have had tears in his eyes.

I ment in a technical sense.
Hes only made one attempt to "unify" and that was last year against Lacy.
He beat Eubank for the vacant belt, then sat on it in the UK for years.
I know his career isnt over, and that a good thing, hes been given a oppourtounity to fight on the big stage, improve his legacy and make money.
Why would he NOT do that?!?!

Oh I saw that. He had "winner" in the avatar with a picture of Taylor. To be honest I didn't score that fight, so I stayed out of the discussions. When I watched it live it looked like a clearly Winky victory. When I watched the replay not long ago I thought it looked close. Against Calzaghe I think there'd be no mistaking.
