if floyd beats delahoya, then hatton, he'll be a legend IMOP.
Even if Mayweather beats Delahoya, does that make him a legend ? ? ?

You know what, If he's shooting for "Legend" status, he should make this fight. I bet he's more willing to take it than you are willing to watch it happen. Oscar gave it a try against Hopkins, who has that same frame as Taylor. Oscar started at 130 just like Floyd........why not. He wants to be a "Legend"........that's what this thread is about right.........go to dictionary.com and look up the definition of legend homie.Comment

quit tryin to protect the pretty boring boy. Kassim did it, he's as tall as floyd. Oscar did it against Bernard.....Oscar started at 130. It aint out the question homie. If he's that good then put up or shut up. Who else can test him, if he's "legendary" status. If he's already a "legend" he should stand up right.Comment

If Floyd beat Taylor, someone who could right now EASILY fight at 168, and probably 175 later on in his career, that give him arguably GOAT status.Comment

Floyd could've started his pro career at Featherweight if he wanted to drain himself a little before fights. Maybe even SuperBantamweight if he REALLY drained himself like most fighters do. He could've fought at 140 to finish his career, but CHOSE to move up. DLH had to move up. He would never be able to make 147 again. If Floyd would've taken the route most boxer take he could probably still make 135. The point is that most boxers HAVE to move up. Floyd never has. If he would've drained himself early in his career, its possible he could've been a 6 or (highly unlikely) 7 division champ.Comment

and I agree with you. If he's this good, and wants to leave the game this soon, let him test the waters to gain status. Corrales was 6 foot. Jermain is heavy, but his skills are caca. Floyd can expoit this dude. I'll propel him to top P4P, HOF and LEGENDARY status with no one near touching him (in this era) if he can pull this off.Comment
