Even if Mayweather beats Delahoya, does that make him a legend ? ? ?

Mayweather is already a legend without the DLH fight. You don't need to see him beating Hatton and Margarito to know that he would school them. Mayweather's style reminds me of Pernell Whitaker's, talentwise I'd say Whitaker has a slight edge but Mayweather's still great enough to be a legend.Comment

Fans decide who a legend is....and the fans, for the most part, do not like Floyd. He will have been retired for years at this rate, before he will ever be considered for All-Time status, much less legendary status.
That word is used way, waaay, too easily. The world "legend" does not apply to Floyd Mayweather Jr.....not at this juncture in time.Comment

Well if that would make him a legend that would be like saying DLH was a legend after he beat Chavez......which simply is'nt true.......he went on to beat many other veyr good fighters........which PBF still needs to do if and after he beats DLH which I doubt he will anyway.Comment

A "Legend" is someone everybody knows, regardless of pretty much anyone who you ask. If you walk into a convenience store and say the name, "Rocky Marciano", the clerk will know who you're talking about. Same with John Wayne, Martin Luther King Jr., Evel Knieval, and Muhammad Ali. If you walk up to that same clerk and say the name, "Floyd Mayweather Jr.", he's going to give you a look akin to a deer in headlights and say, "Who?"
....that is why Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not a legend. Pretty cut and dried actually.Comment

Okay, I'll put this real simple.

Walk into a convenience store at random and ask a clerk if he's heard of Rocky Marciano....then come back here and post his response.Comment
