I personally feel that beating delahoya will not prove anything ...Delahoya is a business man now... he aint tryin to box no more.
Well, I'd say that beating DLH would prove that he can hang with one of the best at 154, but for me it wouldn't make him a legend. Now I'm a huge Mayweather fan & I respect his record, I think he's one of the best boxers I've seen in a long time, but I'd like to see him do what he said he could do, I want him to fight DLH & maybe another bout at 154, go down to 147 & fight Mosley, Cotto, &/or Margarito, & in a perfect world go back down to 140 & end his career undefeated after putting Hatton away. Would that be too much to ask to call him a "legend"?

of course if he could move up & succeed or stick around at 154 or 147 then I'm sure he'd go down as one of the best, but retiring after the DLH fight would leave a big question mark as to how great he could have been.

I've been watching Floyd since he was an amateur, so please don't fool yourself into thinking you're going to school me on Floyd knowledge. I don't know if he could've made 122, but you don't know that he couldn't. I did say it was highly unlikely and we'll never know. The point was, while everyone else was draining to make weight to fight smaller guys, Floyd was fighting guys his size and now is fighting at a weight class he should never have reached.

oh oh, here it comes. this thread goes to show that there are people who really believes that floyd will pumble and defeat oscar which he will. now, the ones who claim that floyd will lose is now making thread saying that if he beats oscar, he still won't be a legend. all of you so called "boxing know it alls" obiviously don't know ****. floyd gets criticized after every win, even if he dominates a fighter that people believed could beat him. all of a sudden if floyd beats oscar it won't make him a legend, but the guy is already on his way to legendville. threads like this tickles me.

            A legend ???

Nah nah you are all misguided. PBF maybe the most skilled, the most talented and the most popular fighter at present but he is not a legend and will never be close to being a legend like Ali.

If he's that good then put up or shut up. Who else can test him, if he's "legendary" status. If he's already a "legend" he should stand up right.
Duran pretty much lost to every good fighter he fought at 154 or 160, he is considered a legend cuz of what he did in the lower weights, same thing should apply to floyd you idiot. Floyd has beat 2 future hall of famers, and like 10 decent fighters, yeah dont get mad cuz oscar loses all his big fights.

Floyd was cuttin weight to fight smaller guys so he can have an advantage, just like all the others before him. He's a natural 147lb er. Face it, he was huge for 130, just like Oscar.
