Even if Mayweather beats Delahoya, does that make him a legend ? ? ?

I think both of them need this fight... look Oscar has struggled in his biggest match up and Floyd has fought some pretty weak opposition in these last few years. DeMarcus Corley, Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah had all suffered a loss right before stepping into the ring with mayweather. Corley has just fought Judah, Mitchell had been KO by Kostya Tszyu and Judah had lost to Baldomir. Yeah he humiliated Gatti but Oscar did that wayyyy before him. He hasn't fought any grade A opposition with his best fight since 2002 being Judah. And Oscar is two in four and is getting old and past his prime.. not to mention that he has been really inactive over the last few years.

Mayweather has hardly had that many fights, especially in contrast to Robinson. To really be named an ATG Mayweather would have to beat down De La Hoya impressively and beat Hatton. If he retired then, well then he had a short but sweet career.

Go to boxingrec.com and check out Leonard's quality of opposition as compared to Floyd's. Floyd's don't even come close. This post is an insult to SRL's outstanding career. Floyd hasn't done **** yet. Let him make superfights and PERFORM against Oscar, Hatton, Margarito, Mosley and Cintron before he quits, then he can call himself whatever he wants. And that's beatable competition. It just so happens that in this era, there are not a few P4P fighters in the same weight class. Oscar during his time had Chavez (WBC 140), Whitaker (WBC 147), Quartey (WBA 147), Tito (IBF 147)and Shane (IBF 135), all considered top fighters when the fights were made. And it can be argued that Oscar won all those fights. He certainly did not get schooled. Who has Floyd fought??? Carlos Hernandez? He looked pathetic in that fight, crying about his hands. Carlos could have auditioned for a part in Lord of the Rings. He was giving Floyd all kinds of trouble. Floyd is just untouchable now cuz he's so afraid to trade, making for boring fights. Hope Oscar smashed this fool and shuts his ass up. Oscar already beat a Mayweather...........Jazzy Jeff Mayweather in his 5th pro fight. He'll be this one too.

Floyd Mayweather will go into the HOF, almost surely, but that honestly doesn't mean much.

Again, people abuse words like "Legend" and "Greatness".
EXACTLY......Dont mention Mayweather and Leg................see I almost did it. Don't do this again. Mayweather need to beat those names I mentioned earlier, then he needs to top Cotto, Winky, and Jermain for all those Middleweight belts, then and only then can he consider himself a GOAT contender.

I think Oscar is in the Hall of Fame already too.

Mayweather fighting Taylor would be ridiculous. Get that **** out of ur head. Taylor is 6'0 - 6'1 and is big. Floyd is only 5'8. Floyd would be completely disadvantaged besides skill and smarts.
