where is floyd mayweather's place in history after the delahoya fight? who else does he have to fight to go down in history ...

I personally feel that beating delahoya will not prove anything ...Delahoya is a business man now... he aint tryin to box no more.

floyd mayweather jr is already a legend. hes a 4 division title holder, former Fighter of the Year, has beaten some of the best of his generation, has had a legitimate claim to the p4p throne, and hes still undefeated.

win, lose, draw, or no contest against de la hoya, floyd's going to the HOF already.

I agree, he still needs more fights, but he sure is on his way.

sugar ray leonard had 40 professional fights. floyd mayweather jr has 37 (soon to be 38) professional fights.

dont tell me you feel to put up an arguement over 1 or 2 fights...

cuality of oponents, I am not looking at cuantity. If a fighter came in and retired with 20 fights, but those 20 where all againt top level then you can see my point. I think leonard had way better oposition than floyd, to use your example. Ricky Hatton has 41 or 42 fights, but once again we have to go to the quality of oposition to determain hof status. I don't think at this point either of them can claim hof status. DLH on the other had does.
