                  vs.

And, welcome to the Volkstaad Poststadion in Berlin, Germany for fight #3 between schmeling and johnson. three days ago, schmeling pulled off the upset. but will johnson come back?i had a chance to interview johnson myself.

buttefly: "Well, Mr. Johnson, what do you have in store for tonight?"

johnson: "He's gonna regret he ever layed a hand on me. i'll embarrass him in front of his fans!"

well, there you have it. johnson seems ready and he came in at 205. schmeling was 190. here's the tale of the tape.

                  Max Schmeling

                  age: 26
                  height: 6'-1"
                  weight: 190
                  reach: 76"
                  record: 44-4-3 (32ko)

                  Jack Johnson

                  age: 32
                  height: 6'-1"
                  weight: 205
                  reach: 74"
                  record: 67-6-10 (49ko)

jack johnson now is in sight ring, walking casually down the aisle. he is now in the ring moving around and practicing on his footwork. a few boos could be heard. and now amax schmeling is in the ring and 70,000 fans go wild! both men seem well prepared and in excellent condition.

michael buffer: "ladies and gentleman, lllllets get ready to rumbllllllee! in the blue corner, from Galveston TX, wearing gray trunks, standing 6'-1", weighing 205, the Galveston Giaaant, Jaaack Johnsooon!! and in the red corner, from Brandenburg, Germany, wearing white trunks with black trim, standing also 6'-1" weighing 190, The Black Uhlan of the Rhiiiine, Maaaaaax Schmeeeeeeliiiiiing!!!(loud cheers)"

both men look determined as referee mark conn gives instructions.

Round 1: both men are flatfooted. johnson lunges in with a left jab, and schmeling counters with a right hand. johnson jabs and then with his cat-like reflexes hits schmeling with a right hand and then ties him up before max has a chance to counter. johnson keeps doing this and then he unleashes some fast combinations that hurt max. max is now against the ropes as the crowd is on their feet. schmeling is hurt! johnson keeps on him throwing hard shots to the body and head as the bell rings: schmeling is slow in walking to his corner, and johnson looks ready.

Round 2: johnson quickly goes after the still hurt schmeling. johnson gets some good body shots, and schmeling is still defenseless to johnson's fast, hard blows.shmeling succumbs and goes down. he is up at 7, and johnson walks in and throws a blockbuster right hand that drops schmeling and snaps his head. schmeling is up and johnson continues. johnson follows up with some hard body shots, and some head work. johnson ties schmeling up from answering back, and johnson then pushes him off, measures and thriws an uppercut and a right hand and schmeling is down! the bell rings and schmeling is saved by the bell: schmeling looks in pretty bad shape and johnson knows it.

Round 3: Schmeling throws a wild shot that johnson blocks and johnson countrs with a left and then a right and then an uppercut, followed by a cross and schmeling is down for good! the crowd is stunned as they watch their fighter get destroyed!

buffer: "The winner by a ko at 0:17 seconds of the third round, Jaaack Joohnsoon!!"

johnson: "I knew what I had to do, and I did it."

schmeling: "I wasn't expecting that. he was all over me. I never had a chance."

wow, what a shocker in Germany! can johnson with his commanding 2-1 lead take it all the way? find out, sunday! now, staying out of the united states, let's go over to London England.

I don't think that these fights are that realistic, and the series is rather long; as indicating who won the series, plus spelling out details of the first and last fight would have been more appropriate (and less time consuming).

I am going to give major props to butterfly1964, however, for taking the time and effort to not get bored with any of the series' in question, and continuing to stay dedicated to this project until it's finished.

Breaking news on a side interview of Muhammad Ali during one of the Frazier vs. Tyson bouts:

reporter: "Muhammad, what do you think of these competitors? Both have an awkward style, and can come at you with explosive power and difficult angles to gauge. Also, this youngster Tyson has trigger fast hands, and Smokin' Joe knows you really well."

Ali: "Joe Frazier is nothing but a bum, and a gorilla, and I'll mess him up worse than I did in Manilla!"

reporter: "That is fair to assume, as you know Joe Frazier pretty well; what about Tyson? What if he wins against Frazier? You've never faced someone with his style and early-round aggression before."

Ali: "I wrote a little poem about that punk, and I'll spell it out for you right now:

"If Tyson thinks he can beat me
                    He's in for something sweet
When he goes to chomp my ear
He'll find he's got nothing to eat!
                    laughter

"Cuz I'll be slipping, I'll be jabbing
I'll be delivering all the blows
He'll wanna quit in the corner when
I put his gold teeth in his nose!
                    more laughter

                    "Mike was never Iron
                    Mike was never great
                    He's a wannabe ******
                    Who ruined his own fate

"When the bell rings and I'm finished with his face
He'll want to retire at last
                    Baby Mike Tyson will admit
I'm the greatest of the present, future, and past!"
                    cheers

reporter: "There you have it, folks. Musical verse from the Louisville Lip, as always expected! Tune in for the upcoming fights, reported by BoxingScene's own butterfly1964!"
