Schmeling comes out and is confident and willing. Johnson is in the ring practicing a little of his footwork. here is our ring announcer for tonight, michael buffer!

michael buffer: "ladies and gentleman, lllllets get ready to rumbllllllee! in the blue corner, from Brandenburg, Germany, wearing green trunks with black trim, standing 6'-1" weighing 193, The Black Uhlan of the Rhine, Maaaax Schmeeeeeeliiiiiing! and in the red corner, from Galveston TX, wearing black trunks, standing also 6'-1", weighing 206, the Galveston Giaaaant, Jaaaaaack Joohnsooonnn!!(loud cheers)"

johnson and schmeling both stare at each other, but not that menacingly as referee mark conn gives the fight instructions.

Round 1: Both men circle each other. johnson lunges in with a flurry, but schmeling side steps it and counters with a right cross and then a left hook. johnson uses his strength in the clinches like last time. schmeling counters well and wins over the judges: Blanken tells johnson how to deal with max's countering, and machon encourages schmeling to keep sharp and let johnson make the fight.

Round 2: schmeling continues to counter. johnson is a bit faster, but shmeling is crafty. schmeling is giving a good account of himself as he lands some right hands. johnson doesn't know what to make of the situation. he does a little in-fighting, but schmeling looks pretty good in that department as well. schmeling gains confidence as he starts to make the fight and throw some combos that hurt johnson, he follows up with some fast punches as the round ends: blanken says to keep his hands up and react to the counter right hand. schmeling is poised and ready.

Round 3: Schmeling makeds the fight mow as he lunges in, but johnson ties him up and work max's body at the same time. johnson lunges in, but max throws a hard counter than rocks johnson, and then max throws a flurry and then a crushing right that sends johnson to the canvas. the crowd is on their feet as johnson get up at the count of five. johnson somehow survives the round: blanken is worried for johnson, and machon is encoraging schmeling.

Round 4: johnson is now linging in throwing a barrage of punches trying to end the fight ala stanley ketchel! but schmeling holds on and goes back to counterpunching johnson's cat-like lunges. johnson is landing some good shots and is looking better. he staggeres schmeling in this round and has won over the judges: both johnson and max are listening to instructions from their respective trainer's and are ready for action.

Round 5: schmeling is looking for johnson to carry attack. jonhnson jabs, and schmeling looks to counter those jabs. johnson is hurt by some blockbuster shots from schmeling. schmeling follows them up, but jonnson luckily for him ties max up. johnson tries to fight back, but he not looking good as schmeling seems to be pot-shotting at the dazed and wobbly-legged jack. schmeling dominated the round: johnson is being revived from the onslaught from the german, and max is ready for some more.

Round 6: Schmeling is now landing some jabs and right hands onto johnson's shaky chin. johnson is doing some good in fighting, but schmeling is coutering with that right hand, which is the defining factor in this fight. johnson lunges in with one big bomb, but schmeling takes the punch pretty well. this is schmeling's round: johnson's eyes are puffy, and so are schmelings, but schmeling looks fresher.

Round 7: johnson is now landing his jab well and getting some right hands in. schmeling continues to counter well with that right hand of his, and johnson is more cautious. max now presses the fight and lands a left hook that staggeres johnson. somehow, max get jack on the ropes and is wailing away at the midsection and jaw. johnson is defenseless. johnson tries to stay away, but max is reletless. johnson weak chin is coming back to bite him in the behind and schmeling is hitting him, and hitting him hard: by the end of the round, johnson has to be helped by his handlers back to his corner.

Round 8: schmeling tries to finish him off, but johnson ties him up. johnson does nothing but tie schmeling up in order to gain energy and strength back. those punches he took from schmeling in the last round are still affecting him now. johnson holds and holds and occasionally hits schmeling with a right hand, and the round is about even: johnson is a little fresher from taking that breather, and schmeling looks pretty good too.

Round 9: A fresh Jack tries to carry the attack, but schmeling is countering the blows. for the first minute and a half, it's a chess match. then johnson throws a right and max counters with a left hook followed by a hard right that hurts johnson. schmeling follows with a paralyzing one-two combination that leaves johnson crumbling onto the canvas. as referee mark conn stands over him and counts, johnson tries to get back up, but he just falls back down and collapses! the fight os over! max raisea his hands in jubilation like he did against joe louis in 1936.

buffer: "The winner by a knockout at 1:52 of the ninth round, maaaaaaax schmeeeelinggggg! (the crowd is stunned silent)

schmeling: "i hope that i will go back to gerany and vin dere also!"

johnson: "he's tricky, but i'll teach him a lesson."

That was a great fight. this series is now tied up. now, staying in Texas lets go over to Houston.

butterfly1964 here at Sam Houston Coliseum in Houston, TX., for fight #2 between George Foreman and Lennox Lewis. Foreman weighed in at 231 and lennox came in at 246. the press conference was nothing special, just a simple answering of questions from the press. well, 70,000 fans jam packed the stadium. here's the tale of the tape!

      George Foreman

      age: 24
      height: 6'-4"
      weight: 231
      reach: 81"
      record: 38-0-0 (35ko)

      Lennox Lewis

      age: 28
      height: 6'-5"
      weight: 246
      reach: 84"
      record: 25-0-0 (22ko)

foreman didn't seem to train that much for this fight, he feels it will be a walk through. lewis comes out with a black hooded robe and jogs to the ring. foreman walks to the ring and and the screaming fans erupt the building! foreman is an 8 to 1 favorite.

buffer: "Ladies and gentleman, llllllllets get ready to rummbllllllleee! in the blue corner, from London, England, he's wearing white trunks with black trim, he stands six foot five, he weighs two-hundred forty-six pounds, the Lion, Lennox Leeewiis!(loud boos from the stadium) and in the red corner, from Houston, TX, he's wearing red trunks with the blue trim, he stands six-foot four, weighing two thirty-one, "Biiiiig" Geoooooooorge Foooooremaaaaaaaaan!(huge applause)"

foreman and lewis gives each other the stare as conn gives the instructions.

Round 1: Lewis boxes foreman and foreman is swarming into lennox. lennox is landing some shots and lennox quickly walks into a foreman haymaker and down he goes! the crowd goes wild as they feel that foreman will end the fight early. lewis is up at 3, and foreman continues to go after lennox, but he survives the round: both men are up at the warning bell.

Round 2: lennox is keeping away from george and is throwing the right hand at him. george is looking for that spot to throw his big shots. lennox fight a smart fight and cleanly wins this round: foreman is resting and lennox is ready for more.

Round 3: foreman is a little more patient in trying to corner lennox, but lennox uses his good defense to block the big blows and counter with some shots to foreman's head, but foreman walks through those punches and lands some of his own. lennox get a sneaky right hand in that hurts foreman a little, and then another right hand drops foreman for the first time in this tournament! the crowd is on their feet as foreman is up at 2. foreman is trading bombs with lennox and they do this until the round ends: lewis and foreman are both tired and they listen intently to their trainers.

Round 4: Foreman is chasing lennox down, but lewis plays it safe. lennox uses his jab and his right hand to keep foreman away and to score points. foreman lands some shots, but lennox is looking better right now and wins this round: foreman is a little tired, but lennox is pretty good.

Round 5: Foreman is now chasing lennox down as lennox tries to keep foreman away. lennox uses tricky parrying and head movement to make foreman miss when lewis is standing still. foreman lands some paralyzing body shots, but lennox takes them well. foreman is pressing the fight, but lennox is winning it. foreman gets more and more tired from chasing lennox as the bell rings: foreman looks real out of it as **** saddler is giving him instructions. lennox looks real relaxed as emanuel steward gives him a few pointers.

Round 6: Foreman is desperately looking for a knockout but is now real tired from throwing all those punches. he wasn't as conditioned as he was last time, and it's beginning to show now. lennox continues to pick his shots and keep foreman off-balance. durring clenches, foreman pounds the body to weaken lewis, but foreman's punches now don't have the power they did as in round one. lewis wins this round as well: lewis is a bit tired, but foreman looks like he's strung out on drugs!

Round 7: Lennox now realyzing that foreman is out of it, attacks foreman with some fast, hard jabs and then his big right hand that drops foreman. foreman barely makes the count at 9, and then lewis continues as foreman tries to fight back, but he looks slow as lewis picks him apart and hits him with a one-two that lays foreman on the canvas. foreman tries in vain to get up, but he is too tired and he falls back on the ropes. the fight is over! lewis wins by smashing ko!

michael buffer: "The winner by ko at 0:48 of the seventh round, llleeeeenoooox lewwwwiiiiis!"

the crowd is stunned! people can't believe what their watching. lewis exits as the winner and he has a few words to say.

lewis: "lennox lewis is going all the way. i knew he couldn't handle my skill and power."

foreman: "I took him too lightly. i ain't losing to this guy again!"

well, there you have it folks. but stay tuned there is more fights on it's way. let's take it over to Pittsburgh, PA!

So wait, are these matchups going to happen 7 times total? I don't follow basketball at all so I don't know anything about March madness.

While there are a crazy number of knockouts for legendary fighters who probably haven't settled into a comfort zone with each other, this isn't going too poorly. I think a better option might have been to decide who won the best of 7, and highlight details or key moments of each series. Basically, you are going to be stuck describing the same styles over and over again, with perhaps a few changes in conditioning, or a random upset.

Otherwise, I applaud the effort. I also hold nothing against you for playing on my idea.

              vs.

Welcome to Civic Arena, Pittsburgh, PA the home ring for larry holmes who is fighting sonny liston for the second time. liston pulled an upset the last time, but this is another day. holmes came in at 210, and liston tipped the scales at 213 3/4. since holmes was ko'd last time, he feels too embarrased to trash talk. liston comes in the ring being booed wearing a whilt terrycloth robe. liston is the 3 to 2 favorite. and holmes comes out now bouncing into the ring wearing a silk black robe. 60,000 fans cheer his arrival. here is the tale of the tape.

              Larry Holmes

              age: 30
              height: 6'-3"
              weight: 210
              reach: 80"
              record: 36-0-0 (27ko)

              Sonny Liston

              age: 28
              height: 6'-1"
              weight: 213 3/4
              reach: 84"
              record: 28-1-0 (18ko)

Michael Buffer: "Ladies and gentlemen, llllllets get ready to ruumblllllllllee! in the blue corner from Philadelphia, PA, wearing white trunks with black trim, he stands six-foot-one, weighing two-thirteen and three quarters, The Big Bear, Clarles Sonnyyy Liistoonn! Liistoon!! and in the red corner, from easton, PA, wearing black trunks with white trim, he stands six-three, weighing two hundred ten pounds, The easton assassin, Laaaryyyyyyy Hoooooooolmesssss!! Hooooolmmessss!!(loud applause)

both men once again put the stare on each other as instructions are given from the referee.

Round 1: Holmes circles liston and is landing his jab well. liston throws his pile driver left jab and connects a few of them. liston is once again cutting off the ring well and lands to the body. holmes continues to ride that bicycle and stick and move on liston, however sonny is not bothered. holmes continues to stay away and land his jab nd occasionally a straight right: reddish is telling liston to be patient and to cut him off, and giachetti is telling holmes to keep on the moove and avoid trading.

Round 2: holmes keeps moving and landing occasioanal combinations. liston keeps pressuring, but holmes is moving well. holmes lands some shots that is scoring heavily for the judges. holmes is pulling from liston's punches pretty well. liston is a bit worried. he keeps throwinh his left hook and jab, but holmes either blocks them or side steps from them. this is holmes' round: holmes is in good shape and is quickly ready for action. liston is concerned.

Round 3: Holmes is continuing to fight off the backfoot, and liston is cutting the ring off occasionally. holmes is doing everything right and keeping liston away: liston and holmes are still fresh, and ready for action.

Round 4: holmes is a little flatfooted and is landing some combos that shake sonny. sonny is pressing, but at this point, holmes is just too fast for liston. liston tries to corner holmes, but holmes avoids the ropes. holmes boxes sharply. liston gets a few good shots in, but this is clearly holmes' round: liston's cornermen are doing something, but i can't figure out what it is. holmes is off his stool.

Round 5: Holmes is still circling and outboxing sonny, but charles closes the gap a little and manages to pound the body and land the left jab. liston is doing much better in cuttin off the ring and jabbing at holmes. the round is about even: liston noddes his head when reddish says something to him, and holmes is acting strange in his corner for some reason, like he is hurt or something.

Round 6: Holmes is blinking his eyes very rapidly for some reason and he covers up. it seems that a substance (probably moncel) got on liston's gloves and holmes now is half blind and defenseles, ala clay! liston's is now pouring it on, throwing a barrage of body shots. holmes tries to keep away but he can't see liston's blows where they com from, so he covers up on the ropes and throws shots from left and right, trying to keep liston away: liston goes back to his corner confident, and holmes still having problems with his eyes.

Round 7: Liston continues to cut off the ring and lands some punches that shakes holmes a little, but holmes is doing pretty good as well, holmes gains a little confidence and putts some good punches together, that worries sonny. sonny's eyes are swollen from holmes jab. some infighting is done, with liston dominated that phase of the fight, holmes still keeps away most of the time: liston is getting help with that eye. holmes looks ok now, his eyes look pretty clear.

Round 8: liston now is throwing big shots, but holmes keeps away from them. liston now thinks "how am i gonna hit him?" holmes looks like a new man now landing multiple jabs and staying on that bicycle. holmes is looking much better now, and liston looks somewhat foolish in the round: holmes is confident and sonny looks very concerned.

Round 9: liston is chasing down holmes, and the two get in a clinch. liston quickly tries to muster up some offense by landing some body shots and uppercuts, but holmes takes them well. holmes stays on the backfoot, landing some stinging punches that confuse liston. liston looks a bit better and he manages to make the round about even: liston is still worried and reddish is instructing him. holmes looks good and is well conditioned.

Round 10: Liston is trying to end the fight, but holmes dances away. holmes basically counters liston's shots. most of ht epunches thrown in this round are coming fom liston. holmes barely throws punches and wins the round almost on defense alone: giachetti is working on holmes eye, but liston's eye is cut, and the swelling is bigger.

Round 11: both men are a bit tired, but holmes toughs it out. holmes is now flatfooted, putting punches together. holmes gets off some stellar combinations that makes sonny think. sonny is throwing his jab a little, but mostly he is swinging wildly. holmes is cleanly winning the round and the fight: holmes now is very confident and ****y, and liston is tense and extremely concerned.

Round 12: Liston tries to land that one big bomb! holmes is caught a couple of times and is hurt. sonny lands a little more than usual, but holmes is also putting great punches together. holmes jabs at liston and this would remind one of clay-liston I on that fateful day (for liston) on february 25, 1964. liston looks bad now, throwing punches but missing by a mile. holmes wins this round big!: reddish is furious at liston and tells him to pick his shots. holmes is well poised.

Round 13: liston knows he's way behind and he has to score a knock out. again he is swinging wildly, but holmes is onto him. holmes is looking great as he doesn everthing right as he gets out of the corners easily and liston tires: liston looks mentally beaten.

Round 14: Holmes circles liston and pops his famous left jab. liston is not bothered, but jabs as well, and it suddenly becomes a jabbing battle. holmes is cornered once, and liston pounds his body. during infrequent clinches, liston is able to outmuscle larry somewhat: both men are tired, especially liston, who is now desperate for a knockout.

Round 15: Holmes is doing some infighting, and liston uses h superior strength to try and pond his body. liston throws a tremendous left hook that connacts, but holmes' granjite chin takes it. liston knows that if holmes is standing at the final bell, that he will lose. liston throws hard right hands to the face and most of them miss. 15 sec. remain and liston is now swinging wildly and swinging, and swiging and swinging as the bell rings!

There were no knockdowns. liston's eye was cut, and homes was puffed up. here is michael buffer!

buffer: "Judge Artie Aidala scores it 10-2-3 for holmes!(cheers) Judge Tony Castellano scores it 9-5-1 for holmes! (loud applause). referee mark conn scores it 11-2-2 for holmes, the winner by unanimous decision larry holmes!!"

              the crowd is very pleased.

holmes: "I know i can wein this now. all i needed was to feel him out, that's all."

liston: "Well, i beat him once before, so i could beat him again."

the score is even now. tune in on wednesday for the third fight in philadelphia. lets go over to phili now!

frazier: "i'm even more focused than before. don't count me out!"

muhammad ali was banned from entering the building, so we wouldn't have the fiasco we had two days ago. here's the tale of the tape.

                age: 27
                height: 5'-11"

                height: 5'-11"
                weight: 221
                reach: 71"
                record: 35-0-0 (31ko)

tyson comes out into the ring without a robe. and now frazier with a white robe with "SMOKIN' JOE" in orange on the back. here's michael buffer.

buffer: "Ladies and gentleman, llllllets get ready to rumblllllllllle! 15 rounds! introducing in the blue corner, from catskill, NY, wearing solid black trunks, standing five foot eleven, weighing two twenty-one, The Iron one, "irroooonn" miiiiike tyyyyyyyyyyysoooooon! and in the red corner(loud cheering) from Philadelphia, PA, wearing white trunks with the orange trim, he stands also 5'-11" weighing two hundreed foooourr, Smmmooookin" jooooooooooe fraaaaaaazieeeeeeeeerrrr!!"

mark conn: "i want a good clean fight. the standing 8-count is in effect for tonight. upon scoring a knockdown, go to the farthest neutral corner. three-knockdown rule is waived. any questions? shake hands."

80,000 fans are anticipating this rematch.

Round 1: both men come out trading blows. tyson's blows are harder, but both men takes them. frazier is pounding the body, and so is tyson, but not as relentlessly as frazier. joe throws thunderous body shots, and the a left hook, that tyson takes. tyson a firing back, but frazier keeps on coming! tyson throws a fast combo that drops frazier! hiwever, frazier is up at one, takes the mandatory 8-count, and is firing back. tyson is suprised and just tries to take frazier out early. frazie is relentless and doesn't take any crap from the intimidating tyson. the round ends: both frazier and tyson are up quickly and are ready for action.

Round 2: Tyson is bobbing and weaving, and so is tyson. frazier gets down low to unleash a left uppercut and the follows with a right hand and a philadelphia left hook. tyson is doing some inside work, but frazier is landing the more punishing blows: frazier is up and ready for action, while tyson needs some rest.

Round 3: Tyson is not using his famous head-movement as much, and frazier pounds tyson's midsection landing clean crisp laft hooksto the face as well. frazier now has tyson against the ropes as they both trade. after about 35 sec of trading. tyson is tired, but frazier works at a furious pace and gets some more shots in that jarrs tyson. tyson connacts with a left hook, but frazier takes it well. frazier trades with tyson as the round ends: frazier's bodypunching is paying great dividens as tyson is tired only after three rounds. rooney is yelling at tyson, telling him to stay focused.

Round 4: Tyson comes out like in the first round, and now it's a slugfest. they both hurt and stun each other, but after all that, frazier is stronger and he bulls his way into tyson's skull, via right hand. frazier continues his concentrated body attack and lands some hellacious right hands to tyson's jaw. tyson hits frazier back, by joe seems to e taking every punch that joe dishes out: yank is giving frazier instructions, and rooney tries to revive is fighter.

Round 5: tyson tries to end it with a vicious right, but tyson's stamina makes this shot less dangerous, and frazier is not bothered at all. tyson is throwing shots at frazier, but tyson is armweary, and the shots are not all that hard. at this point frazier is basiclly laughing at tyson's punches as they land. tyson is pummelled against tyhe ropes, and frazier is landing some hard, fast shots: tyson's eyes are puffed up, but so are frazier's.

Round 6: Tyson wants to end this in the worse way, frazier unleashes a left hook followed by an uppercut and a fluury of lefts and rights that stagger tyson. tyson throws a weak punch, frazier slips the punch and unleashes a crushing left hook ala ali and down goes tyson! tyson tries to get up, but unlike ali fails. the fight is over as yank hugs and congradulates frazier as the crowd erupts in cheers.

buffer: "the winner, by ko, at 0:38 seconds of the sixth round, "Smoookin" Joooooe Fraaaaazieeeeeerrr!!!"

frazier: "i'm happy that i won. i'll try to build upon that."

tyson: "I had a bad night, but i'll be back when i box in front of my fans in the garden!"

frazier and tyson shake hands, frazier consoling him.

and there you have it folks. that is all for this evening. one again the final scores are Part1-schmeling ko9, Part2-lewis ko7, Part3-holmes ud15, and Part4-frazier ko6. tune in tomorrow for more first-round playoff action. this is butterfly1964 from butterfly1964 productions saying, good night!

                    vs.

Hi, and welcome to the Mechanics Pavilion in San Francisco, CA for fight #3 between james jeffries and the dancing master muhammad ali. ali had the uxury of fighting at home, and now jeffries will get the advantage. in the second fight, ali had trouble keeping away from jeffries, because he was not property trained. however, ali came in fantastic shape at 209 today, so you can be sure that ali will be at his best. jeffries came in great shape at 217. ali is still a 2 to 1 favorite, so jeffries still will be the underdog. at the post fight interview of the last fight, jeffries referred to ali as "clay", his old, quote on quote, slave name. ali wasn't too happy about that. well, here's the press conference before this fight.

jeffries: "You can't win, now that i've got the fans on my side. i'm gonna knock you out, clay!"

ali: "what did you just say?"

jeffries: "I said i'm gonna knock you out!"

ali: "No, I mean, what did you just call me?"

                    jeffries: "I called you clay!"

ali: "No you didn't, cause if you did, i would have to do this!(ali smacks jeffries in the head, and the two get into a scuffle.)"

well, there you have it. one of our reporters interviewed ali before the fight.

reporter: "What do you have in store tonight for jeffries?"

ali: "He's a racist crackah, and i'm gonna whup him, and after I'm gonna make him publicly say my name!!"

wow, ali sounded serious! no joking, there! will he carry through on his threat? here's the tale of the tape.

                    Jim Jeffries

                    age: 29
                    height: 6'-2"
                    weight: 217
                    reach: 76 1/2"
                    record 18-0-2 (14ko)

                    Muhamamd Ali

                    age: 25
                    height: 6'-3"
                    weight: 209
                    reach: 80"
                    record: 29-0-0 (23ko)

And Muhammad Ali is now bouncing into the ring and a barrage of boos could be heard from 55,000 fans. ali climbs in the ring and goes into his dancing routine. now jeffries comes into the ring, and he is being applauded as the fans cheer him on to beat ali. a noticeably old white man yells out to jeffries, "Jim Jeffries, knock that n****r out!" Many police are on hand to protect Ali from the angry white racists in the ring, especially some leading officials from organizations such as the Klu Klux Klan and the Skinheads! jeffries is now in the ring, and both men have their robes off. here is ring announcer michael buffer!

Michael Buffer: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Machanics Pavilion in Saaan Franciiso, CA! Lllllllllets get ready to ruumbllllllllle! 15 rounds in this first-round playoff. Introducing, from Houston, TX, wearing red trunks with white trim, he stands six foot three, he weighs two hundred nine pounds, the Greeatesst, Muhaamaad Aaaliii!(incessant boos from all corners of the stadium) And his opponent,(loud cheers) from San Francisco, CA, he's wearing blue trunks, he stands six foot two, he weighs two seventeen, the boiiiler maaakeeeeeeeer, Jaaaaaaaameessss Jeeeeeeeeeeeeefriiiieessssssss!!!!!(hysterical applause)

Now lets listen in on mark conn the referee.

Mark Conn: "protect yourself at all times. i want to to break when i tell you to break, in event of a knockdown, i want you to go to the farthest neutral corner until i tell you to come out. three knockdowns in any round, and the fight is automatically stopped. if a fighter is knocked down, he will take the mandatory eight-count. if knocked down, a fighter will be saved by the bell if the round ends before i finish the 10-count, any questions jeffries? and questions ali? ok, shake hands and come out fighting. good luck to both of you!" (Ali was talking to jim, putting the stare on him telling him how he was gonna whoop him and name calling him. ali looks like a man on a mission.)

The stage is set in the Mechanics Pavilion.

Round 1: Ali comes out dancing and get close to jeffries and throws a fluury of hooks and backs away. ali is much faster than he was in the last fight. ali keeps jabbing him and taunting him. jeffries throws some shots, but they all miss widely. ali dances the whole round and is untouched, while scoring well on jeffries: Ali goes back to his corner and opens his mouth wide to the crowd, showing off. jeffries is poised and ready.

Round 2: Ali comes out, but for the first minute ali doesn't throw a punch. jeffries throws about 30 punches and connects twice, but both those shots graze ali and doesn't affect him at all. ali continues to dance and then throws a triple jab and the n a right hand, followed by 5 hooks(left, right, left, right, left). jeffries is confused at the moment, and ali takes advantage. ali lands an overhand right, followed by two uppercuts and a left hook. jeffries takes the punches, but now he is worried. ali then dances for the rest of the round, blocking, pulling from, and slipping all 26 of jim's remaining punches he throws at muhammad: ali is listening to instructions from dundee, and jeffries listens to delaney as the warning bell rings.

Round 3: This is pretty much a repeat of the last round. ali dances and hits jeffires at will and taunts him, while jeffries still can't fing the elusive target. it seems that ali's tip-top conditioning makes him even faster than in the first fight! this is a cruising round for ali: ali doesn't even bother to sit on his stool. instead, he taunts the spectators and makes obsene gestures at the KKK attendants. jeffires is a bit tired.

Round 4: Ali is now flatfooted, but his speed is still the same. jeffries throws a barrage of punches, but misses them all. ali gets in a right hand, throws a double left jab, and hits james with an uppercut and two hooks. jeffries finally hits ali with a left hook, but ali follows that up with some uppercuts that stuns jim. ali then get up on his toes and dances. jeffries hits him a couple of times, but misses ali most of the time: ali still refuses to sit on his stool. jeffries eye is puffed up, and looks tired.

Round 5: Ali is up on his toes, and throws nothing but jabs the whole round. jeffries does a little better and corners ali and lads two body shots, but ali uses his superior strength to push jeffries away. ali still jabs and dances and wins the round: ali fnally sits on his stool, but he gets up about 30 sec. before the 10 sec. warning bell sounds. jeffries right eye is really swoollen and looks like it could be cut in about two more rounds.

Round 6: ali is now flatfooted and stands still and jeffries throws three right hands, a left jab, a left lead and another right hand and misses all of them as ali uses his slendid head-movement and avoids the punches ala terrell! ali is now at this point laughing at jeffries and the crowd is not apprieciative. loud boos could be heard. ali is talking to jeffries about his mom, and jeffries is mad and throws a vicious right hand that ali moves out of the way of and the punch hits the ropes, bounce back and hits jim in the face! ali busts out laughing, and jeffries is embarrassed as the round ends: Jeffries left and right eye is now swoolen, as ali stopped hitting the right eye in order to keep it from being cut and the fight being stopped early. Ali is still taunting the crowd, saying, "I'll take you on next, if you want. I'll take all of ya'll. Loud mouth crackah's!!" ali then tells dundee a joke and they both laugh at it. they are giddy and it looks like an easy night for muhammad ali.

Round 7: Ali still jabs and jeffries has no answer to this new breed of athlete. ali keeps circling and jabbing and then plants his feet and throwws a hard right hand that snaps jeffries head back and hurts the boilermaker! ali now has jeffries on the ropes and is pummeling him. jeffries is defenseless. ali, instead of trying to finish him, backs off and starts to dance. the crowd is puzzeled. ali dances and throws jabs as jeffries comes off the ropes. ali at this point is too fast for jeffries. ali keeps circling and landing hard shots that stun jeffries: jeffries looks pretty well spent, by now, but ali is as fresh as ever.

Round 8: ali is now flatfooted and is landing his jabs with added power. ali is talking to jeffries and has a serious look on his face. jeffries tries to fire back shots, but half of them miss, and the other half only graze ali. ali lands an uppercut and two hooks, and jeffries is hurt. ali's eyes are red like fire as he now lands some vicious shots to jeffries head and ali yells at jeffries saying, "YOU HONKEY WHITE BOY!! YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU ****** ASS CRACKAH!!" and ali hits jeffires some more with a mad look on his face and says, "What's my name?" continulously he says this as he peppers jeffries with punches, and jeffries answer's back with a flurry but to little avail. ali keeps saying, "What's my name?" and jabs, hooks, or uppercuts jeffries and jeffries eyes are almost swollen shut! ali keeps doing this and when the bell rings, ali stands in the middle of the ring and yells, "WHAT'S MY NAME?! WHAT'S MY NAME?!!" as jeffries goes back to his corner: the crowd is now booing with a fury and dundee and delaney can barely hear themselves talking as they attempt to give their fighters some insruction.

Round 9: ali continues to jab at jeffries and yell "what's my name" at jim, and jim tries to amswer back, but ali avoids most of his punches. ali hurts jeffries with a right hand and follows up, but when it looks as if jeffries is done, muhammad, instead of ending the fight, he just dances around and waits for james to recover and then he peppers him with punches some more. ali is carrying the fight, and it seems like he doesn't want to knock jeffries out. ali continues to say, "What's my name?" and taunts jeffries, talking about his mom, dad, sister, aunt, wife, children, and jeffries himself as the round ends: ali doesn't sit on his stool and jeffries right eye is cut, but no visible blood is seen.

                      Jeffries vs. Ali

Round 10: ali comes out dancing, and jabs, and each jab is puntuated by, "What's my name?"! he does this for about two minutes and they get into a clinch, and during the clinch ali says in jim's ear, "What's my name? What's my name, fool?" and jeffries whimpers out, "Muhammad Ali!" ali says, "say what?" jim amswers back, "Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Ali!" Ali then pushes jeffries off and contiues his jabbing and the occasional one-two and saying "what's my name", periodically. Ali convincingly wins this round: jeffries needs some smelling salts to revive him, and ali rests a little, but still fells pretty good.

Round 11: Ali comes out and puts his right hand around his back and keeps it there, only using his left hand. he keeps jabbing and saying, "what's my name" and jabbing for the first half of the round, and for the second half of the round, ali switches hands and puts his left hand behind his back and uses only his right hand, throwing right crosses and over hand rights, not to mention the occasional right uppercut. jeffries throw punches, but ali is able to pull from all of them: dundee and ali casually talk in their corner, and delaney is trying desperately to keep that right eye closed, because some blood is now visible.

Round 12: Ali comes out dancing, and jeffries and whenever ali has jeffries hurt he back away and goes into a dnacing routine. ali is now potshoting at jeffries as jeffries can barely see. ali has his way with jim and he throws an uppercut that staggeres james, but ali just does nothing for the last forty seconds: ali is a bit tired, but he is still strong, and jeffries looks like a lamb ready for the slaughter.

Round 13: ali is dancing and playing with jeffries and is now in a relaxed mood. jeffries looks done but is fighting back and manages to corner ali and pound away at the midsection. jeffires get in a couple of right hands and a few left hooks. ali jabs and lands the occasional straight right. jeffires is looking better landing more punches, but ali still looks great, dancing and jabbing and ali hurts jefries again, and then dances away: ali needs some rest, and jeffries is really tired and delaney is trying to close that cut.

Round 14: Ali comes out jabbing and continues to say, "what's my name?" the crowd is in stunned silence as they watch their hero being pummeled into submission with ease, not to mention humiliated and humbled. you could hear a pin drop, as ali throws a fast flurry that hurts jeffries and then ali throws a right hand and backs off and dances away from jeffries: ali is poised and ready for action as the crowd boos. jeffries is reluctant, but he presses on.

Round 15: Ali uses his jab and stright right, and talks to jeffries, saying, "What's my name?", over and over again. jeffries lands about three punches in the whole round. ali continues on the offensive and lands some nice shots, and jeffries looks like he's ready to pack it in. both men clinch a couple of times, as ali talks to him both times, ties him up, and pushes him off. ten seconds remain as ali throws two laft jabs and dances. the bell rings. the fight is over! ali raises his hands to the crowd as if he's won. jeffires hangs his head in shame as both eyes are cut.

neither fighter was down, and jeffries was cut in both eyes. ali's face was unmarked. we await the decision, here's michael buffer.

michael buffer: "Judge Artie Aidala scores it 15-0-0 for Ali! (BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! !!!!) Judge Tony Castellano scores it 15-0-0 for Ali!(BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! !!!!!!!!!!) Referee Mark Conn scores it 15-0-0 for Ali! Winner by unanimous decision, Muhammaad Aliii!!(BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
                      OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
                      OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
                      OOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
                      !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)"

An overwhelming victory for Muhammad Ali. It looks like the chance of Jeffries winning are next to nothing. If Ali wins the next fight, jeffries is automatically eliminated!

Ali: "It's over!! This big bum is done for! IIIII AAAAAM THEEEE GREATESSTTTT!!!!!"

Jeffries: "I wish ali had ended the fight sooner, than me out there getting a beating like that. he's a great champion. he's even faster than jack johnson!"

ali is now walking to his dressing room as police surround him guarding from the hostile racist crowd that boo him all the way to the dressing room. A kkk member takes out a knife looking to stab ali, but a policeman restrains him. ali looks over at the klan member with the knife and sticks out his toungue at him in amusement. now jeffries leave's the ring and the crowd shows it's support by it's loud applause.

Well, there you have it folks. Ali comes on jeffries territory and embarrasses him. this whole fight looked like a scene out of ali-terrell, lol! can ali eliminate jeffries on his own terf? find out on saturday! this is butterfly1964 saying goodbye, and good day from The Mechanics Pavilion in San Francisco, CA. now, staying in California, lets send the cameras over about 100 miles to Oakland, CA!
