Yes. Let's forget that Lewis actually went to court with the WBA because he had already signed to fight Grant who HBO wanted him to fight.

He was more than happy to fight Ruiz after the Grant fight (when WBA came up with a mysterious mandatory), but Ruiz didn't want Lewis - he wanted a belt.

With regards to Byrd, it's common knowledge that Don King paid Lewis step aside money.

Once again, the thought of Lewis ducking the likes of Ruiz and Byrd to fight guys like Tyson or Grant or Klitschko is just ridiculous.

THEY ducked Lewis (Don King), not the other way around. King knew Lewis would smack those guys around like ragdolls, and safely kept his "champions" away from him (byrd) or wanted to get his fighter (holyfield) to fight for a vacant title against Ruiz.

You make it up as you go along lol. i have yet to read anything which is factual you have put into print about Lennox Lewis. You just keep sprouting excuse after excuse for the guy. Do you have links of proof for:

You also assume that Byrd & Ruiz who were both mandatory No1 contenders, were inferior fighters to 2002 version of Mike Tyson (drug addict). Then Ruiz was suddenly the mandatory and then King took lewis to court for not fighting him then basically making sure he got stripped as opposed to fighting Ruiz. This actually happened. As in, this took place. You can use all the bs excuses you want about this that and the other, but this took place. King set up Ruiz vs Holyfield for the vacant title once lewis had been stripped.

How does it show that when he was in court before Ruiz was even mandatory? And he fought Grant as that fight was universally recognized as 1000 times better than a Ruiz, Byrd and Akinwande fight put together. plus he was higher ranked.

Cowardize is a bit harsh and he is not the only one being stripped for failing to fullfill mandatory obligations. It happened to L. Spinks as well.
