Add Chambers instead. Much better win.
Yeah your probably right...but honestly I don't see much difference between chambers and Thompson.. both pretty bland

The thought of Lewis ducking Ruiz (who HBO declined) is laughable. Or Byrd for that matter.

They would both have been squashed like a g****.
yea,,,,,lennox fought a good number of big punchers so the thought of him not fighting those 2 out of fear is laughable but I think byrd was a much better heavyweight than some are giving him credit for in this thread despite his lack of power. he made tua and holyfield look bad back when they still had something left and did also make vitali look bad altho he was well up on the cards when he quit. vitali did a lot of swinging at air that night

chambers was much faster and more talented but TT had that lanky southpaw awckwardness going for him,, so,, all in all they were pretty even on effectiveness. they were good but obviously not great heavyweights

I like Chambers. He beat Adamek with one hand, Dimitrenko, Derric Rossy when he was coming up, Calvin Brock, Samuel Peter. He lost a decision to Povetkin. Dude fought everyone.

In fact, I think Chambers is a very underrated win for Wlad. Other than Povetkin, he probably has the best resume of any Wlad opponent alongside Byrd.

Chambers is not only more skillful than TT but his resume also craps on TTs.

Obviously Lewis wasn't fighting him being a big HBO attraction.
pretty sure he fought vitali on hbo,,,,,not sure if he had other fights on a major network at that time or not

Yeah but was that because of Vitali or Byrd?

I seem to remember the ibeabuchi fight being on a weird network. might be wrong.
