You know as well as i know, that what you are trying to imply is wrong. Lewis signed claiming he would fight the WBA No1 contender after he fought Grant. That No1 contender when he signed was Akinwande, But Akinwande became ill with ~Hepatitis. So the WBA dropped Akinwande from their No1 ranking and moved John Ruiz to that position. Lewis then refused to fight Ruiz, now like it or not, this is the fact of the matter... With Lewis refusing to fight Ruiz, the WBA had no other choice but to strip Lewis of their belt....

Bowe was the undisputed champion of the world. He had 3 official No1 contenders. Lewis was only ranked with the corrupt WBC. Ferguson had beaten Ray Mercer in a final eliminator, Dokes was on a 9 fight win streak... Bowe offered Lewis the same deal as what The Klitschko brothers offer every single opponent. A 80/20 split, Bowe actually offered better to Lewis 75/25.. But Lewis knew that if he held out for 90 days Bowe would be stripped... Lewis and his camp asked for a 50/50 split with the undisputed World Champion LOL...

Did Don King hold a gun to Lewis head saying, "Drop that belt and take this money and a Land Rover or **** ****"... fvucking grow up you ****** clown..

yeah... maybe John Ruiz & Chris Byrd, once they fought their way to be ranked contenders in this sport of Boxing. Should have then just called it a day, hung up their gloves because they were garbage and no one wanted to see them fight.. FFS..

Look, don't get me wrong. I actually wish he would have fought them both. Then I wouldn't have heard the name "John Ruiz" ever again as he could had drifted back into sub par mediocrity where he belonged instead of becoming that perpetual hemroid that wouldn't go away.

The sad fact is, very few contenders really "earn" a shot at the title anymore. Look at Deontay Wilder. Who in the blue hell/did he fight to get a crack at a belt?

I will say/Chris Byrd did earn his shot, from what I remember; but he seems happy enough fighting for a vacant title rather than demanding Lewis, just like Lewis seemed content to take that WBC strap back in the day, rather than hounding Bowe.

Boxing is all politics these days. Perhaps it always was and time has merely made it seem as if it weren't so. But, I do know for a fight to be made, thee has to be a demand for it; the people have to want to fork over the dough........and unfortunately for Byrd, that was never the case.

Lewis gave up the IBF & WBA.. But Bowe was scared in 1992 and Tyson was scared in 96 ..

Anyone who tries to claim Lewis ducked Ruiz obviously doesn't know anything about boxing .. That statement is the sign you know nothing about boxing... if i was to bet, i would bet you was under the age of 10yrs when Lewis was stripped for refusing to fight Ruiz & Byrd.

I used to be the type who would let idiocy pass....and then one day I really got sick of it. I thought to myself "if we all let idiots have a pass, then who are we to complain when we get nothing but idiocy and ignorance?" As a teacher it really sunk in. My students, when they became free thinking adults, what Agorium would they have to share? Would it be controlled by the likes of those who condemned Socrates to die for corrupting the youth? Would it be opinion tempered with a healthy respect for common sense, facts, and an awareness of different standards of proof?

You are an example of one who gets a pass because it takes time and energy to deconstruct nonsense. Not all you write is nonsense SonnyBoy sometimes you have good things to say, but when you start with the haterade and **** this place up, someone has to take the time to scrub the walls down:

1) While the actual machinations may be in question it is a fact that Bowe threw the belt away rather than face Lewis. There is no evidence that lewis ever feared a fight with Bowe. In fact, Lewis fought Bowe as an amateur.

2) You presented an argument with no evidence, that Lewis feared Bowe and that Lewis ducked Bowe...No Lewis nuthugger claimed that Bowe was scared of Lewis. And then when people did not subscribe to the nonsense that Lewi feared Ruiz and Byrd, you claimed that in a double standard, "nuthuggers" of Lewis claimed that Bowe feared Lewis.

You created a strawman Sonny, thats what happened. You built him out of a preconception that because Lewis does not fear Bowe then people who have this reasonable opinion must think that Bowe feared Lewis.

1) Again, you built another straw man. Nobody needs to blame Don King. Mentioning King's role as a negotiator does not presuppose that King is blamed....King had a role in the negotitions. You are so desperate to make the argument that Lewis avoided Tyson and Bowe that you attribute motives to others that need not be attributed.

Finally. Your right about one thing here: One does not need anythng more than common sense and maybe a bit of boxing understanding to know that Lewis didn't duck Ruiz. Your nonsensical agenda distorts the facts about Lewis' relationship to Ruiz and Byrd. Byrd and Ruiz were not big punchers, neither guy had great speed, great abilities that would be scary to a champion. We know this for many reasons: among them th people lewis chose to fight instead of Ruiz and Byrd, the potential risk reward when compared to the people Lewis chose to fight throughout his career, etc.

You constantly undermine the ability of people Lewis fought to make your nonsense stick, then when people refute your nonsense you claim they are doing the very thing you do, which is to prejudice your opinions with an agenda.
