Upon retiring, Lewis ducked both Klitschko brothers. Lennox 'ducker' Lewis.
Lewis was 38 years old.
George Foreman was an anomaly. Most heavyweights historically are done by the time they hit 34 or 35, some sooner. Ali was 38 when he fought Holmes. Holmes was 38 when he fought Tyson. Louis was 37 when he fought Marciano.
Retiring at 38 after a year of contemplation following his defeat of Vitali was a sound decision, IMO, given the fact that he was old.
ducking what?... Holyfield was robbed of his titles against Lewis.
You still never answered my question to you
What do you think of Lewis two knock out defeats to Rahman & McCall?
You said Lennox was the only Heavyweight fighter in history to be stripped for not fighting his mandatory Your hero was stripped for not wanting to lennox! Haha. You literally said it without a trace of sarcasm.
Then you get completely schooled on the situation which you weren't around to follow - then don't even reply and keep telling others that Lewis ducked Ruiz even though Ruiz wasn't even in the picture when Lewis was initially granted a mandatory and had signed for a fight before it was even called - against Akinwande of all people. You just ignored that completely because you had no idea and it doesn't follow your agenda.
Yeah they were obviously not very good. Pretty embarrassing actually. But he did have the guts to rematch both.
You're trying hard to ping me as a Lewis fanboy, when nothing could be further from the truth. I just actually know what went on unlike you.

Smells like sour g****s to me.
Lewis certainly earned the right to retire on his own terms. He had been in the game a long time and his skills were declining. Now if he fought Kirk Johnson instead of giving Vitali a rematch, that's a problem. But Lennox deserves credit for retiring with his money and his brains before embarrassing himself.
