That was why i was suggesting that you were implying that a fighter cannot improve, I was trying to make sense of your claim that it is ridiculous to think Cotto has improved.
What's funny to me is almost every single thread you're in you're claiming someone is implying something they clearly are not.

No where have I implied no one can improve. No where.

All I've said is that in my eyes to say Cotto is a better fighter now than he was in 2012 is ridiculous. Again, that's MY view. I'm willing to discuss that on this boxing discussion board I'm on.

I've not once said Cotto doesn't have the capability to improve from present and into the future. Just that he hasn't as it stands.

I was trying to make sense of why you would claim it is ridiculous for someone to suggest that Cotto has improved. If I took what you said at face value then your view would be far less intelligible. So what your view actually is is that you don't think that Cotto has improved and that it is therefore ridiculous that anyone would think that he has. If there is a ridiculous view then it is that.

No my view is that, in my eyes, from the evidence I've seen from his fights, I think it's pretty clear, again in my eyes, that he hasn't improved in the last two years thus saying he's improved to a state where it would be a great win as opposed to not being a great win 2 years ago is ridiculous.

Is over complicating every single statement and trying to say what people are implying your day job or something? It's pretty obvious what I'm trying to say and I've broken it down for you quite simply a few times now.

Yeah it sort of is my day job.

I know what you are saying, you are saying that because you don't see something then it is ridiculous that others are seeing it.

No I am saying that IN MY OPINION I consider the idea ridiculous.

I'm willing to discuss the topic and maybe someone can show me something that changes my mind. It's happened before.

It hardly sounds like you would likely have your mind changed if you start with the idea that such a view is ridiculous. You have already passed judgement that that idea is not to be taken serious. That is what ridiculous means.

Oh now you're telling me whether I can change my mind on something or not Perfect. Not only are you the authority on the meaning of my posts but you're also the authority on my views on whether they can change or not.

Of course my view could change. My views change all of the time. If someone were to present something to me that I must have missed then I would change my mind.

And again, I told told you the point of what I considered ridiculous.

Improving to the extent being said is what I consider ridiculous. Not simply the idea of him improving.

You said the view was ridiculous! The question is why would your views change, if you genuinely thought the view was ridiculous then what reason or reasons could possibly change your mind?

You did say that his improving was ridiculous in the following quote.

                  This is simply ridiculous.
If you meant what you are now saying then fine but that wasn't clear from this above quote.

No I said "This is ridiculous" I.e Your point of "Cotto has improved to the extent that this would be Floyd's first great win despite the fact he fought him and beat him two years ago" is ridiculous.

From what I've seen, I stand by that. Maybe I've missed something, I'm open to that. And maybe someone could change my mind. I do doubt that but I'm open to dicussing it hence why I asked the questions I did.

OK but that was not clear from what you said in that particular post.
