Where do you rank Floyd mayweather among the pound for pound greats? Personally I'd say he will be remembered as someone like a Roy jones or Whitaker, a very dominant fighter and one of the best technicians in the ring. It's amazing he can still be dominant at his age with top fighters. But When people start putting him in the same conversation with Leonard, Robinson and Ali, I have to disagree 100%. Where do you think he will be ranked in history?

I agree with you 100%... he's up there with Roy Jones & Whitaker... if Floyd fought the best in their Prime i'd say up there with Ali, Leonard & Robinson... those men were fearless, didn't cherrypick & never took 2 year vacations.

Mayweather was not as good as Sweet Pea defensively. Jones had much more natural ability than Mayweather and Floyd was the most complete fighter of the bunch. Wanna take a potentially great fighter and make them less than? give them a zero in the loss column to protect.

gotta go down as the greatest defensive fighter of all time and a master craftsman .
next three fights after may 3 could land him at number 1 greatest of all depending on who he fights

Only if his next 3 fights are against the clones of a peak Sam Langford, Henry Armstrong and SRR.

Below Robinson and Ali, but above SRL imo
Leonard cherry picked Lalonde and had long vacations and eye surgery throughout 11 yrs of staggered inactivity, culminating in defeat to Camacho, who was a final a cherry pick that backfired

Mayweather's due to fade.. He's at that age now.. But keeps it up until he's 39- 40, then he can start calling himself, 'The Greatest'

Muhammad Ali is and will always be, 'The Goose That Laid The Golden Egg'

All time great, the greatest fighter of his era IMO.

One of the "best" I've ever seen.

How can that be considered a cherrypick? It was a comeback fight when he was shot to ****, 40 years old and hadn't fought in 6 years? Who should he have fought instead? Why even bring this fight up at all, it has no bearing on Leonard's greatness whatsoever.

Leonard has much better quality in his resume than Floyd that's for sure.

I personally have him in my top 20 or maybe even top 10 at present. From now on he can probably only increase his standing in my eyes.
