Everybody knows the whole drug testing story was an excuse for Mayweather. I have no idea why you would say this now. Even when Manny agreed to Mayweather's crazy demands, Mayweather tried other ways out. Did you forget when Pacquiao agreed to everything Mayweather tried they gave Mayweather 30 days to sign and Mayweather completely disappeared. It was all over boxing news and ESPN. 30 days passed and Mayweather suddenly appeared after the deadline saying he didn't know about it even though it was all over tv and the web. The pressure even made him go into retirement at one point. Mayweather originally wanted Pacquiao when Manny moved up from lightweight in spite of his fathers advise against it. Then suddenly when Manny destroyed Hatton, everything changed.

Right yeah, Pacquaio refused 14 days, immediately after Mayweather said that if he doesn't accept the compromise now he won't get it again, then what do you know 14 days is ok now

The 30 say "limit" was nothing more than a media stunt. Margarito was already lined up.

      • Here is my top 15.

        1. Sugar Ray Robinson
        2. Harry Greb
        3. Henry Armstrong
        4. Ezzard Charles
        5. Sam Langford
        6. Muhammad Ali
        7. Roberto Duran
        8. Benny Leonard
        9. Joe Louis
        10. Bob Fitzsimmons
        11.Willie Pep
        12. Joe Gans
        13. Archie Moore
        14. Mickey Walker
        15. Barney Ross

Mayweather had a long way to go. Pacquiao/Martinez wins could've put him in this sort of company. But for now, around top 40

Actually that is not a bad list. I imagine anyone here would rearrange a few names but it looks pretty solid.
