Their entire world is based on what they experience on an audi-visual screen, having never read a book or ventured far from their own front door, except for organized 'play dates.'

I think this encapsulates the dichotomy of the argument.

The Pro Rocky crowd sees his shortcomings, and argues that since he was successful despite these things, that makes him great.
The Anti Rocky crowd sees his short comings, and argues he can't be as great as others because of them.

To the Pro Rocky crowd just remember, boxing is a sport and in sports athleticism does matter (despite what some boxing fans would have you believe). Being slower, and smaller (at least for heavyweight) can be a detriment. You have to take that into account. That doesnt mean I am writing he is over rated or isnt great, rather that there are other facets that play a role in who is better than just skill and heart.

What would happen if Rocky's heart and mind was put in Mike Tyson's body? that's all I'm trying to say. He's not great like Ali or Louis. I've always said a great champion must have 3 things. chin, Heart, and Stamina. Rocky had all 3 to the max.

C'mon now Tatabanya, have you seen prime Hulk Hogan? The man was a beast! Everyone knows (Willie Pep included) that the Rocky movies were actually real, and Sylvester Stallone does not really exist. In the movie (reality played out for our entertainment) Rocky Balboa (2006) Rocky was about 1000 years old and still elite-level. Marciano did not have anywhere near that longevity. Forget Sugar Ray Robinson, Balboa is the GOAT. Nash out.
