Marciano was not threatened by any of the small LHWs moving up. They posed no immediate physical danger to him. The guys on your list would all give him problems.
More like SOME of the fighters on my list would give him problems. As opposed to ALL of them being a threat to KO a shaky chinned Lewis.
You also have to take into consideration the very real possibility that Holyfield juiced to get his size up to heavyweight, where as fighters like Moore and Charles most certainly didn't. It begs the question, would Evander have been as effective if he had been fighting 15lbs lighter at heavyweight?
I think most professional athletes are on peds. I think Lewis would have been lighter off his peds also. I don't blame athletes for taking drugs to enhance their performance. I think they are pretty much forced to actually. Lots of money involved, not just for themselfs either. Things a lot worse then an athlete taking peds happen, when large sums of money are involved.

PEDS invalidate the sport. ALL sports. These are supposed to be contests to see who's better not who has the best pharmacist.

Many probably are, but it seems likely Holyfield needed them to put on weight he apparently thought he needed.
What PED's was Lewis on? Im not trying to be facetious, but I don't recall packages being sent to his house and rumors constantly swirling around him his entire heavyweight career.
Answer: Joe Louis, even completely washed up, was a harder puncher than anyone on Lewis' record.
Poet
1950's Joe Louis had very little power in his comeback. 3 ko wins in his final 10 fights and they were all against guys under 195 lbs. He was shot basically.
Vitali, Tua, Morrison, Tyson, Bruno, Briggs all had monster KO%s and streaks before fighting Lewis. All punched harder than the LHWs and shot version of Joe Louis.

Its not even a contest.
You don't lose your power with age, you lose your ability to land it.
Tuia was too slow to get inside Lewis's reach to land cleanly. Morrison was a bad joke who would have lost to Cooney. Bruno fell short every time he stepped up. Briggs' power is grossly overrated, usually by people trying to make Lewis look good. Vitali is solid puncher but not a tremendous puncher and with Tyson you can use the same argument that you're using with Louis.....you don't get to have it both ways.
Ken Norton looked in increidble shape against Foreman.
Care to explain how you have Patterson and Charles in the Top 10 and not Foreman?
Simple, they beat more big names. Charles beat Louis, Walcott, Moore, Maxim and Bivins and Patterson beat Johansson, Bonavena, Chuvalo and Moore. They were just better boxers than Big George. Charles would pick Foreman apart, much like Young did. Only Charles had a better punch than Young.
