Frazier's inability to take a punch costs him the fight.It takes a hell of alot more than some one-dimensional brawler to defeat Rid**** Bowe.Evander Holyfield realized this,adapted in the rematch and put on a boxer-brawler clinic.Joe Frazier is no Evander Holyfield.

hmm.. i think u don't give Frazier enough credit, he was crazy elusive with his bobbing motions and his arms crossed with elbows out defense, closing in on you to throw the hard left hook. Bowe's great advantage is the prime example of an uppercut that he has.

Everything here would make sense if this wasn't so cut and dry. I give Bowe a shot with anyone, but at their respective bests I'll lean towards Frazier. More relentless and harder punching than Holy, more elusive defensively. Better stamina and more proven grit. I can entertain upsides for Bowe, but letsb lookn at the facts.

I wouldn't say so. I'd actually pick Bowe in this fight, and i like Frazier. Fraziers left might have had a bit more snap than Holyfields punches, but i don't see it being enough to really show up in the bowe fight. Just like Frazier couldn't hurt Foreman I don't see him Hurting bowe, who would be the stronger man on the inside and was hurting iron chinned Holyfield badly.

I don't count Frazier out and might not even see him getting stopped, but he could be put down on the canvas a few times which could make him lose on pts.

Why do you rate Frazier so lowly? Not just in this instance but, in may others when questioning his legacy etc.

On topic I think it would look a bit like the Thrilla in Manilla but, Bowe landing harder than Ali, towards the end of the fight landing heavily and possibly stopping Frazier by TKO in rounds 9-End.

frazier was a small heavyweight and his bob and weave style would not be effective with any heavyweight of todays era,against bowe he would not make it past the first round and get his lights punched out in a hurry,bowe wins by devastating knockout

evander was able to hurt bowe. so he would have to be able
to handle the presure and maybe a little more power ?but i see bowe

i don't know guys, i've seen Frazier make a lot of opponents miss and counter really REALLY hard. but Bowe has a very accurate and fast jab, he could probably keep catching him.. but then again.. Frazier made Ali miss a lot of times too, and Ali had a very fast left hand.
