that may be true. but it was on the downside of his career. After that fight his record was 2-2-1.

It's a small bit of nitpickery but I also always thought of it as interesting anecdotal information.

People use overdose to mean death by dosage. This is not actually what overdose means. An overdose is any dose of any drug in excess of that required to produce the desired effects.

So while no one has ever died from an overdose of weed, plenty have indeed overdosed. Plenty of people smoke to the point where they're no longer adding to their high, they're just wasting their weed. Because the initial effect has more to do with oxygen than THC they don't notice. The hit has it's effect and that's all that's happened.

Not trying to argue against weed, I am fine with it, I just thought it was an interesting anecdote and ever since I learned that I always say no one has died from a weed overdose instead. Doesn't matter though, everyone knows what you mean and it is true.

        Can 'edibles' change that?

I agree one can't smoke oneself into an overdose. That's likely impossible but . . .

One can die from alcohol poisoning, so can one eat enough weed (all at once) that it shuts down one's breathing or stops one's heart?

I think with edibles now becoming commonplace we MIGHT be in for a bad surprise.

        I wonder!

P.S. Sorry, I am using overdose to mean death. I did understand the point you made.

Norton fought as well in that fight as he ever had previously, imo.

          • No doubt, Norton fought hard that night. Underrated as a great fight. But it was his last. Like I said that was Holmes biggest win. you take away Norton Cooney and Shavers That doesn't leave much.

            • My daughter gave me a big pot cookie. I didn't know I was supposed to cut in in fours. I ate the whole thing. I was tripping that night. But I'm still here. Here's something you guys might not know about me. I don't drink and have never been drunk in my life. No pills no coke no nothing other than the stuff that grows in the back yard. So, my friends roll up a fatty and talk boxing.

That happened to me at my son's birthday party last week. Lol

They (the cooks) didn't know what they were doing and made them too powerful.

We went out, tried to shoot pool. Spent like $45 for two tables and no one could sink anything.

I agree. While it's true that he was near the end of his career in terms of time and effectiveness, the Holmes - Norton fight was a CLASSIC example of a boxer having one last GREAT fight in him. That version of Kenny Norton was as good as any version; and man, what a fight that was!!!!

                    • Let me add, that while I deeply respect both Klitschko brothers, and while I never feel any prejudice against any era, ethnicity, national origin or anything else in where I plant my respect; I honestly don't recall any instances where the great Wladimir or the superb and nearly great Vitali had ever let it all hang out the way Holmes and Norton did that night. For what it's worth.
