I have to say that I despaired when watching Chagaev against Wlad. This guy was built up into some kind of fighter but his skill level was laughable. He just walked slowly forward in a straight line. These tactics were found lacking in the first world war.

I think there maybe a bit of reverse psychology going with the Klit opponents i.e. build them up so they look good then a K beats them easily so they must also be great.

I don't think much to Haye, his seems chinny and his stamina gives me cause for concern but he does have a fair chance against Wlad if he fights the right kind of fight.
Personally I think Wlad might well suffer from a touch of Bruno itis and freeze if he gets caught.
One thing I know for sure if Haye doesn't hit Wlad square on the nose it will be called a rabbit punch or a butt

Way I see it is, no matter how long your reach, there is ALWAYS going to be someone comes along with longer reach. So not good pinning everything on that reach advantage to win fights.

I have the a freakishly short reach, I'm 6' tall and 168-175lbs and my reach is only 68". Almost everyone from lightweight up has better reach than I do. Far from seeing it as a disadvantage I know that when I open up inside my opponent he can barely hit me, and his arms just flail around me like Mr Tickle. If I alternate my punching between head and body, and use a little lateral movement then he struggles to even clinch with me let alone shake me off. If he's not used to people getting inside then he'll usually try to push me away using his hands... which is exactly what I want as it bring his guard down and exposes his jaw for a KO.

If any of the Klits opponents need to learn how to get inside then they just need to spend a few weeks watching clips of Marciano, Moore, Dempsey, Tyson, Armstrong, La Motta, Basilio etc. There's a wealth of good material out there. And if they study old Archie then they'll see that it's not even necessary to take a shot on the way in. It's not rocket surgery

The truth is watching these guys it seems like they're programmed to fight the same way every time regardless of opponent or circumstances. It's like they all have the exact same trainer who coaches them in the exact same style. I was appalled watching Chambers, Chagaev, and Ibragimov against Wlad. Instead of pushing forward to get inside Wlad's reach they would actually take steps BACK!!!!! to adjust the range back OUT!!!!! I was like WTF????? They're putting themselves right back out into Wlad's power zone!!!!!! When you have a reach disadvantage you should NEVER take a backwards step. The safest place you can be is INSIDE your opponents reach where they lose leverage on their punches and their power diminishes. Doesn't ANYBODY know how to fight anymore?!?!? What the **** are they teaching these people?!?!?

Poet was spot on about the dire way every Klitschko opponent seems to try and fight them.

Why does no one try and slip one of their jabs and hook? Just like Tyson did against Carl Williams.

yeah they have ****ty gameplans and don't know how to adjust. Only difference is the klits are the tallest so they don't need to adjust.

Just watching Ali spar etc and everything, I can tell he's light years ahead of the Klits I'm sorry to say.

One of the reasons size doesn't always play a huge role in HW bouts, is because although a fighter maybe taller, or able to hold more weight, a lot of his structered things stay the same. An example would be Ali's head and hands probably being the same size and Klitschkos. Although the feet tend to keep growing.

It's pretty much how Frazier and Tyson chopped down so many big men. They were shorter and lighter, but where it mattered there wasn't much of a difference.

you look at a lot of 6'8 Basketball players and I'd bet my money Pacquiaos got a bigger dome.

Of course when a freak shows up though you get Frazier vs Foreman, and yea, Wlad vs Chambers.

Do you really have nothing better to do with your time than bumping useless,Ali related threads?

Are the dozen or so Ali related threads you create every day not enough to satisfy you?

You're way too obvious to be a fanboy.

Don't bring your useless spamming into this section.

This thread has **** all to do with his resume. This thread hadn't been active in over two and a half years and all you added was two words.

I could dig up all the other threads you have bumped in nsb but I could care less about that section and you're free to troll as much as your heart desires over there.

As I already said, stick to trolling/spamming in the main section and stay the **** out of this section.
