While I agree he should have got the nod over Alvarez, the fact remains he never beat him. My point was from 2019 when those rankings came out until he retired in 1922, he didn't do anything to separate himself from those in the IBRO top 10. To say he will be in in the future wouldn't be based on anything he did, but rather people forgetting about other fighters. Do you not agree?

He fought Canleo $$$ instead. That fight made him way more than Ward would have. And he was robbed.
Ward challenged Mayweather to a fight at 160, and insisted he was the only fighter he would come down to 160 for…so it was really Ward who ducked Golovkin at 160. Golovkin was under no obligation to move to 168, especially for Ward who couldn’t sell PPVs or fill venues outside of Oakland.

The war of words has ended with a challenge. On Wednesday, WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26KOs) lashed out at WBA/WBC super middleweight king Andre Ward (26-0, 14KOs). He took shots at Ward's ticket selling abilities. Ward's manager, James Prince, who used to manage Mayweather years ago, fired several verbal shots right back at Mayweather .

But now Ward himself has come out in the public and challenged Mayweather to a catch-weight fight at 160-pounds. Mayweather has never fought higher than 154, but Ward is willing to drain his body to head eight pounds south. Mayweather defends his title against Ward's close friend, Robert Guerrero, on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Ward stated on the social networks - "Lil Floyd says he spars middleweights. He is the only man I will sacrifice coming to 160 for. He won't take that bait!!!"

What you said here is nonsense. When Ward was at 168 Golovkin ducked a fight with him. His own promoter acknowledged they turned down the fight and I posted all the evidence you need for that.

Golovkin did not fight "Canelo instead." That's a lie.
After turning down Ward, Golovkin fought David Lemieux, Dominic Wade, Kell Brook, and Danny Jacobs. So now you're lying.

            Your response changes nothing.

More nonsense.. Golovkin was willing to fight Julio Caesar Chavez at 168 and also Carl Froch but would not fight Ward at any weight above 164 or at all. So even by your silly Mayweather logic and links, Golovkin ducked the fight with Ward.

Mayweather has never fought above 154 and only did it one time in his career which is why a 160 fight would be offered to him. Golovkin was always a middleweight who was not even willing to fight Ward at 164 which again indicates he never wanted the fight. He was willing to fight Chavez jr and Carl Froch at 168. So there's that.

Golovkin ducked a fight with Ward at 168 and 164 after claiming he would fight anyone from 154-168. This nonsense that you posted doesn't change that one bit.

Froch had been retired for years so you can't "duck" someone when you're retired. Froch said he would have had issues losing the weight. Golovkin would not have been facing a prime Carl Froch even if it happened. Beating a past prime fighter coming out of retirement does nothing to push a boxer up the all time great list.

That's not how it works. It has to be done in the ring. Not with speculation.

Froch preferred the Grove saga above a 3G saga that could've been made a PPV superfight in Vegas. Froch was confronted with it on TV and shrugged it aside. It is up for debate which would have been a harder fight however all metrics point out 3G being the more difficult. Consciously chose for less money and less prestige.

True, but if nobody wants to fight it has to count for something.
