I think its somewhat the latter, as he showed signs of slowing down by 2015, and was a couple weeks away from 35 by the time he fought Jacobs- dont know of many MWs who are still at their best at that age. We for some reason judge GGG by his old post prime version, ignoring that there are names on that top 10 lost that were already done by the time they were 35.

I think GGG had a solid run in the early 2010s with some quality names on it. I tend to evaluate him by that.

As an aside, I remember Jacobs blowing off the same day weigh in enforced by the IBF for the fight, and coming in at darn near cruiserweight for the fight- do we ignore that? If so why?

Who are the quality names on his resume that you are talking about?

Because they both made weight in the middleweight division. If Jacobs came in over then it would be something to talk about.

At the very least you could argue Jacobs won those rounds, along with, 2,3,6,7 and 10

I.e It was NOT a "clear" win for Golovkin. You could argue that he lost it.
Dropped Jacobs stunned Jacobs multiple times, no scratches never hurt, was the ring general landed the best shots but lost the fight... Sure.

Can you read English, you stupid fuck?

You asked what rounds he won, I just gave you the rounds he arguably won so get your fat fingers out and count them and you'll see there is the number 7, meaning it was an either way fight I.e It was not a "clear win" like you've attempted to claim it was.

It was not a clear win, simple as that.

Clearly won the match and the street fight within the match. Gritty Jacobs was game in a career best performance that was IT. The judges gave the rounds to Jacobs at the time he could not surpass G on the scorecards anymore, but if it helps you sleep at night so be it.

What part of he arguably won 7 rounds are you failing to understand?

You score the last 3 rounds based on the judges card and you score the other rounds based on your own fantasy card.

You said Golovkin stops most middleweights in history hands down. But Golovkin's own history shows that is highly improbable. I'm talking about historically top middleweights. Not fighters like Steve Rolls, Dominic Wade, or David Lemieux. Stopping them proves nothing historically.

Ward was never offered a fight with Golovkin. So you're lying about that.. Even if that was true why would Golovkin need a catchweight after saying he would fight anyone from 154-168? Maybe because he never wanted to fight Ward in the first place
Do you need to stop an opponent to demonstrate ,superiority over him?

I'm not sure why that matters whether they said it or not. Ward was clearly ready to fight Golovkin at 168. He even accepted their terms of 164. Golovkin's team clearly rejected it even with their own words. So what's your point?

Andre Ward on 'Little G' Golovkin: Fans Were Hoodwinked https://share.google/tPjHjBwFgwf6Fmcaw

"I have an email right now that shows that we gave him what he wanted, we gave him 50-50, these are the terms, these are the conditions, and the promoter turned it down and said ‘maybe in 2017.’ So from now on it’s Little G.'
Ward is upset with Golovkin demanding that he come down to catch-weight of 164, while offered the full super middleweight limit of 168 to Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

"If the shoe was on the foot, and I said that I was going to 175 and I was not going to touch Kovalev - I'll fight this guy and that guy, but if I fight Kovalev he's got to come to 170 or 172 - can you imagine what the headlines would be? And if my manager and my promoter were talking like they talk, can you imagine what the headlines would be? I don't want to talk about the guy anymore, I wish nothing but the best, but I think they hoodwinked the fans and I don't think that's right."

Absolutely not. But if someone claims that Golovkin knocks out most middleweights in history they should have something to back up that claim. Golovkin's record doesn't indicate that he would knock out most middleweights in history.
