- - Canelo is an elite fighter, not an elite middle. Jacobs is neither, but they both have good chins. Facts were that most of the best fighters ducked GGG as a risk not worth the reward.
Hint: Offered Wart a Supermiddle fight at 164lb catchweight(Wart won his title at a catchweight) and MoneyFraud a crack at his Middle title at 155 catchweight or a crack at l'l floydy's 154 title straight.
1. Harry Greb (609) 2. Ray Robinson (575)
3. Carlos Monzon (527)
4. Marvin Hagler (493)
5. Mickey Walker (448)
6. Stanley Ketchel (446)
7. Bob Fitzsimmons (377)
8. Bernard Hopkins (256)
9. Charley Burley (251)
10. Marcel Cerdan (248)
Im trying to figure who Golovkin ko's on this list. Maybe Ketchel? Im not sure. Ketchel is also the only one i think he truly beats from this list. If i were to guess I'd say he belongs between 10 and 20 all time. Helluva fighter, f un to watch. Would have bas a better professional career had he no remained an amateur so long.
He KO's none of them on that list.
Doesn't KO Dick Tiger either or Gene Fullmer or Tiger Flowers or Jake Lamotta Or Ezzard Charles or Freddie Steele.
I'm having a harder time thinking someone who could KO who I would consider in the Top 25 Middleweights off the top of my head.

- - Burley more myth than your IQ.
Poppy would incarcerate hisself to bunk wif U before fighting Golovkin.
Fitz won his middle title @150lb vs 147lb Jack Dempsey.
Ketchell would be interesting
The rest would be interesting with Monzon having the best chance

Whether you consider them elite or not the point is that Golovkin couldn't stop either one. Jacobs had been stopped before as a middleweight in his prime so it's not like he couldn't be stopped or hurt.
You said Golovkin stops most middleweights in history hands down. But Golovkin's own history shows that is highly improbable. I'm talking about historically top middleweights. Not fighters like Steve Rolls, Dominic Wade, or David Lemieux. Stopping them proves nothing historically.
Ward was never offered a fight with Golovkin. So you're lying about that.. Even if that was true why would Golovkin need a catchweight after saying he would fight anyone from 154-168? Maybe because he never wanted to fight Ward in the first place
He also had no interest in moving up to fight Andre Ward after claiming he would fight anyone from 154-168. Now we know why. All of the fighters you mentioned moved up in weight multiple times.
Can we confine ourselves to middleweight ,and judge him on that?

That's hilarious considering he couldn't KO Danny Jacobs, Canelo, or any other truly elite middleweight of his era. Considering that fact, he doesn't KO most middleweights "hands down" assuming you're talking about elite ones. Stopping sub par competition means nothing when stepping up to elite competition as history will show you with Golovkin.
Didn't 3G clearly won the fight ? It was a career best performance of Jacobs coming in as a massive underdog, in that context sometimes to other fighter just does not want to lay down to prove his worth and grittiness.
That was in reference to the poster I responded to claimed Golovkin was denied fights with Mayweather, Cotto, and Crawford and Golovkin would have stopped them.
Mayweather has never been a middleweight and I don't think Crawford was even at 147 yet during Golovkin's prime years. Adding them as possible opponents for Golovkin's resume makes no sense to me unless you want to include the fact that Golovkin could have moved up and fought Ward but didn't. Cotto I can understand because he won a title there.
I do judge his resume solely at 160 and I believe it's thin.

Burley is more a myth? Widely considered the best of the black murderer row not get a title shot with an outstanding resume. You don't know much about boxing.
