Where Does Golovkin Rank Among The All Time Middles?

Its the whole 'chicken v egg' discussion thats been had regarding GGG for a while. Did he stop getting KOs because he fought good fighters, or did good fighters only start fighting him because he got old.
I think its somewhat the latter, as he showed signs of slowing down by 2015, and was a couple weeks away from 35 by the time he fought Jacobs- dont know of many MWs who are still at their best at that age. We for some reason judge GGG by his old post prime version, ignoring that there are names on that top 10 lost that were already done by the time they were 35.
I think GGG had a solid run in the early 2010s with some quality names on it. I tend to evaluate him by that.
As an aside, I remember Jacobs blowing off the same day weigh in enforced by the IBF for the fight, and coming in at darn near cruiserweight for the fight- do we ignore that? If so why?

Did Ward want a fight with GGG @168 lbs? This would be moving up for GGG. Provide the link please.
Well your "facts" are irrelevant and don't change the fact that Golovkin turned down a fight with Ward.
Sure. There are a lot of them. Ward even had the E- mail to prove it.

Golovkin’s consistency, dominance, and fearsome knockout power definitely put him among the most respected middleweights in history. While his résumé might lack a long list of elite prime opponents, his reign, skill set, and ability to control fights are undeniable. Top 20 at 160 lbs feels fair, though with a couple more marquee wins, he could’ve been a lock for the top 10.

At the very least you could argue Jacobs won those rounds, along with, 2,3,6,7 and 10
I.e It was NOT a "clear" win for Golovkin. You could argue that he lost it.max baer likes this.
