  • Bryd was NOT ranked when he beat Vitali,as you rightly stated his loss to Ike had taken him out of the rankings.Byrd was not ranked again until after he beat Vitali. We have been over this several times and Cliff Rold corrected several assertions made by You Know Who.
Vitali defended against 5 Ring ranked men,Adamek,Gomez,Sanders ,Peter, and Kirk Johnson. -Bronson

Lost to Lennox Lewis by TKO (Technical Knockout) in the 6th round, Lewis was the Champion at Heavyweight.

    • December 12, 2009:
Won against Kevin Johnson by UD (Unanimous Decision) in 12 rounds, Johnson was ranked #10 at Heavyweight.
    • September 10, 2011:
Won against Tomasz Adamek by TKO in the 10th round, Adamek was ranked #2 at Heavyweight.

He missed Solis who was ranked #9 by ring magazine, but later admitted not checking the on line ratings of the ring magazine. His way of saving face. I told him to take a sanp shot of the April 2011 ratings, he never did....

What ever, clown. I count way more a then 5 .

We all know Tyson beat up his first wife and wouldn't take no for an answer in several other cases. Liston as far as I know adored his wife and never laid a hand on her if I'm not mistaken(and that was more common in his era), and was known to be very nice to the vulnerable of society like children, the elderly etc. Tyson wants to eat them or rob them.
He loved Geraldine and she ruled the roost.

He was spectacular with the vulnerable, children and old people because he knew they meant him no harm.

I have read many touching stories of his kindness on Youtube from the horse's mouth.

He was very popular in the UK despite all the negative press from the US.

I would have loved to see Tyson try his cannibal **** on Sonny.

      A&E on standbye.

Ok, here's a question. Did he clean out a division or pick ABC mandatories? Liston cleaned out the best of his era, unless they avoided him. Focus on me now. We all know you want Bronson's attention, but try to focus on me.

I have been focusing on you lately in case you haven't noticed you are avoiding my points & and ignoring my requests.

Liston cleaned out the top three ranked men in the division, and after that dined on the unranked men. Suely at the time there were other ring magazine ranked men to fight? I went over his resume of best opponents beaten just for you.

I listed two pages of the ranked heavies for you to review. ** It is possible that Sonny defeated more than 4 ranked men **

You are not a bad guy per say, but you're stubborn to admit the facts, and don't listen to other people's points when they do not coincide with your thinking. Sometimes you grind an ax on unproven points.

Okay -- so you view Sonny 8th best heavyweight of all time. You're entitled to do so. Can I see your list of ranked men to get a better understanding of your thinking? You might say we do root for the same team.

And the small no frills and no punch Folley? He would be lucky to win four rounds vs. VK as all of his opponents failed to do that! A Folley who lost 11 times, was KO'd 7 and drew 6 times walk through VK?

Willow, you painted yourself into the loser's corner with your words. Sorry man.

A healthy VK beats Bryd. But that is another thread.

No need to apologize my friend. You are entitled to your thoughts.

Liston fought a total of 19 different boxers that were rated in the top 10 at one time or another a total of 25 times. Marciano fought 13 different boxers a total of 16 times.
Liston fought a total of 12 boxers that were rated in the top 10 when he fought them.

Bigger? Sure. Stronger? Maybe. Better schooled? Not a chance. Liston over either Klitschko.
