  • I'll never understand why Wilder went his entire career without doing any roadwork.

And then they wonder why he gasses terribly.

Kudos to him for going as far as he did by just looking for one shot, I guess.

If Lacy was that good he wouldn't have got wiped out by Calzaghe. Surely the Calzaghe fight revealed his ceiling?

David Haye apparently never did roadwork either. He focused on explosive exercises such as shuttle runs.

        • How about Adonis Stevenson? How do you guys feel about him? I know he had a freak accident but let's be honest. His prime was crap. He didn't have any big fights in his prime really. Chad Dawson was messed up after that weight drained fight with Ward.

He had the power and popularity. Seemed like he wasted his prime. It got so bad he was stripped of his ring belt.

I think he was another example of the modern era fighter who likes to talk about greatness rather than prove it. He placed obstacles in the way of a Kovalev fight.

That whole situation was nuts. Another fight that was robbed from the fans.

If I remember correctly that would had been for undisputed smdh.

He also dragged his heels about a Hopkins fight which is why a nearly 50 year old Hopkins went after Kovalev instead.

Adonis smdh. I might have to put him on this list but idk if the fans really believed in him. He made his name of that Dawson ko then ran to Canada and never did much.

There are schools of thought that support this sort of training for various other sports, American football has some who adhere to this process. And then there is the whole 'Feed the Cats' crew in sprinting that try and use that line of thinking for other athletic endeavors.

I just don't see this for boxing though, boxing is very much an endurance sport.
