I had it for Bivol but it was very close.

Either way both men enhanced their already stellar reputations.

        Boxrec rules...Simples.

Quarry was never as disciplined physically. Certainly Quarry has a chance, but with 9 losses and 4 draws in a career, Beter the big betting fav...
Of those 9 losses.2 were to Ali.2 to Frazier.1 to Ellis,I to Machen ,when Quarry was still maturing,1 to Chuvalo in an anomaly when he missed the count,1 to Norton when he was over the hill and 1 to Cranmer when he was totally finished.CONTEXT!
        Those Machen losses were to
        Patterson no2
        Terrell no3
        Mildenberger no4
        Ramos no 10

Quarry has 9 losses on his record, but he fought in a golden age of heavyweights.

Losses to Ali x2,Frazier x2,Ellis,Chuvalo,Machen when he was still maturing,Norton, when past his best and Cranmer when he was totally washed up.
Wins against Patterson,Foster,Lyle,Spencer,Shavers,Mathis,Foste r, and lesser lights,Zanon ,London ,and Bodell, give him superiority in quality opponents.
          Beterbiev is 5'1l 1/2" 73 in reach.
Quarry 6 ft 72 " reach.with on average about 12lbs in weight between them, probably less as Beterbiev is probably over 180lbs on fight night.
Some on here would call that weight disparity irrelevant.
Well it's an obvious answer to an obvious question if you are asking who wins between a Light Heavyweight and a Heavyweight.

Who has Beterbiev beat? He's quite literally cleaned out the division.

Is it an obvious question though?

You could argue that today's light heavies (with modern weigh in rules) are just as big as all the truly great heavies pre-Liston.

Marciano for exanple I would say was no bigger than the two B's are.

Beterbiev weighs in at 175 so I don't give him any kind of chance vs someone who weighs in as a Heavweight and is capable until I were to see him do it in the ring vs other Heavyweights.

Conn gave Louis fits and I would pick Beterbiev over Billy actually.

Conn still got knocked out twice by Louis despite his success in the first fight.

Until I were to see Beterbiev have success I'll say at Crusierweight by today's standard since Quarry was around the 200lb mark I've got no reason to pick Beterbeiv to win that fight.

If Beterbeiv were to move up to 200 lbs and dominate or even win vs some top contenders then the debate could be had but until then there isn't.

My pick is Quarry by decision, in a very entertaining fight
woow! Have to think about this one... It is a really good contrast... Have to teach a class, will be back to wager an opinion. This thread should be fun.
