Both men get my respect I thought Ali fought and beat the better comp, was more athletically talented, and more durable mentally than Larry.

Absolutely. I just thought Holmes unraveled mentally after the first Spinks loss and let it take him out the game.

1966- 1972? Who did Ali beat the make you think this? Don't say Liston as it was a tank job. Ali won his legacy fights over Fraizer, Norton, and Foreman after that time.

Fool, like Ivich. Ali's best three wins are not among the men from 1966-1972 you listed.

Ali was suspended 3 of those years, and the Liston fight wasn't a tank job, Walcott fumbled the ball. If there was a legit REFS count you have no idea if Liston would have gotten up or not. As it is Walcott walked away and Liston did get up and resumed fighting until Walcott decided to listen to a spectator (Fliesher).

That wasn't the question you asked.
                    Here is your question.

                    Q. "1966- 1972? Who did Ali beat the make you think this?"

                    And here is my answer.

In other words Ali lost to Frazier and Norton in 1971 and 1973. Holmes was better than they were. I think Holmes could have taken Ali as soon as 1977. That is the year Jimmy Young was robbed vs. Ali. Notron was robbed in the 3rd fight with Ali in 1976. Lots of gifted score cards for Ali.
