        - - Dempsey vs Louis:

Joe a touted up and comer making noise just as Jack was wrapping up his 2 year exhibition tour fighting all comers coast to coast. He elected to stay retired, but with Joe still in early development and Jack having recovered much of his poise, yet still uncertain at a professional level, this fight has all the makings of an All Time Barnstormer, Changing of the Guard type of fight.

If not this, how about Billy vs Ginsberg vs Keroack in a tourney?

        Yeah...

        - - I'd pick Kero...

First half of the 1980s Lightweight Tournament.

          1. Alexis Arguello
          8. Jimmy Paul

          5. Livingstine Bramble
          4. Jose Luis Rameriz

          3. Edwin Rosario
          6. Greg Haugen

          7. Ray Mancini
          2. Hector Camacho

P.S. I realize I broke the directive but it is not out of obstinance. I have for years thought about several LW Tournaments, but once these brackets play-out some of the fights will have occured. Sorry. But no initial fouls.

Here is another group of LWs representing the first half of the 20th Century.

          1. Joe Gans
          8. Rocky Kansas

          5. Battling Nelson
          4. Packey McFarland

          3. Ike Williams
          6. Lou Tendler

          7. Beau Jack
          2. Benny Leonard

P.S.S. Please feel free to trash my seedings if you have a mind to.

If the seedings play out correctly they make for two great fights in the finals.

          Arguello vs. Camacho
          Gans vs. Leonard

Why didn't you just make a separate thread? FFS!
Why am I wasting my time here?

I'd actually pay to see any of these

I'll give you one, at middleweight: Roberto Duran (vs Iran Barkley version) vs John Mugabi (vs Marvin Hagler version)

This would have been one for the ages, I believe.
