I've always felt the opposite. Henry had a tendency to come straight forward and brawl. He would play right into Manny's strengths. Particularly his hand and foot speed. Armstrong lost to quite a few ordinary fighters.

The film I have seen of Armstrong suggests his style (head use) would be deemed foul today.

Yes, he had that Tim Bradley/Hopkins/Holyfield head-first like a bull style that was a weapon all to itself. Seeing how both he and Manny are the same height he would have a harder time getting underneath Manny to as he did with most of his taller opponents.

I agree. Manny throws punches from to many angles and is to fast. I would expect Armstrong to make a good fight of it though.

Some might want to substitute Jefferies for Sullivan. I just wanted the gloves to be as primitive as possible. A non body puncher like Ali is going to hurt his hands and will be fighting handicapped before too long. Thus this fight is not a mismatch.

In the team matches it is guesswork knowing which weight to use. I feel that welterweights Leonard and Duran would take any heavyweight.

I’d bet my grandparents house armstrong kills him. Thats just me though. Look what he does to out fighters, completely nullifies them. Pacquiao would be missing and vulnerable / wide open trying to hold him off. And considering nobody fights like Armstrong he wouldn’t be able to prepare for it. I don’t think it’s a fair fight though, because of that. And others said he may be called foul.

then add in an iron chin and a heart as big as a light heavyweights, the ability to fight with both eyes shut. The fights inside all night and pacquiao looks like a fish out of water.
