The absurd has always been fair game for guilty pleasures... Picasso Cezane... were absurd when Cubist works were produced... Charlie's shennanigans, no matter how ridiculous show, as Kara's post says, there is a way to promote fights that works. If Charley can do it, why not Haney? or any other young fighter wanting fights for real?

Count Dante was in a similar vein... when he made crazy comic book novelties (you probably remember the adds for his "death book" lol). Dante and even Mas Oyama... both men were showmen... Dante walked a Bull down State Street, Chicago, claiming he would kill the bull with a strike, Oyama had struck a horn (made sure it had been weakened). Ironickly most people don't know that Dante was legit... unlike Charlie, BUT the point is Charlie's actions could teach legit fighters how to operate in their own interest(s).

I'd bet 8 out of 10 people who couldn't name a single fighter except Tyson Fury, would, when asked to name three fighters, would reply, "Fury, Paul, uh, I don't know."
