Frazier fought in a very intense style that generally (there are exceptions) burns bright but not long. He also had a lot to overcome... and that stuff always comes back on you (I know from my own body/martial arts... Im now held togther with duct tape and chicken wire). And in that division, at that time, to lose a step really meant something.

Frazier did fight some incredible comp... even under the radar, guys like Ellis who is not talked about but was a fantastic fighter...

Sort of. He was a hard arm puncher, as someone said previously.

If there is room for disagreement then they're probably not facts, just one side claiming objectivity when it's actually not there.

At least that has been my experience on this forum.

Frazier’s only true puncher he fought then was Quarry . We won’t count any of his wins if it’s against the grain here we’ll just use his prime years .

This was his opponents leading up to Frazier .
Win 31–2–4 Buster Mathis UD 12 Mar 24, 1969 Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York, U.S.
                36 Win 30–2–4 Aaron Eastling KO 5 (10), 2:41 Jan 26, 1969 Memorial Auditorium, Canton, Ohio, U.S.
                35 Win 29–2–4 Charlie Reno TKO 5 (10), 2:58 Jan 10, 1969 Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, Washington, U.S.
34 Win 28–2–4 Willis Earls UD 10 Nov 19, 1968 Freeman Coliseum, San Antonio, Texas, U.S.
                33 Win 27–2–4 Bob Mumford TKO 5 (10), 1:15 Nov 11, 1968 Phoenix Forum, Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.
32 Loss 26–2–4 Jimmy Ellis MD 15 Apr 27, 1968 Coliseum Arena, Oakland, California, U.S. For vacant WBA heavyweight title
                31 Win 26–1–4 Thad Spencer TKO 12 (12), 2:57 Feb 3, 1968 Oakland Arena, Oakland, California, U.S.
Most these guys are so bad they don’t even have published records . The only known credible guy he couldn’t knock out either kind of a coincidence don’t you think ?

Oscar Bonavena was a big puncher. Understand that out of 76 wins, big George had 68 KO's. So not only Fraizer but anybody who fought big George got knock the f out.

If you know anything about George Chuvalo you know that he is as rock hard outside the ring as he was in it. Past 80 now, he remains as sharp as ever, and can still beat the **** outta most grown men. Amen. George is always up for sitting with a fan and discussing his amazing career. A guy who shared the ring with Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Quarry, Ellis, Bonavena, Cleroux, Mathis, Etc., some of them twice, never suffered a knockdown, ever. And George could CRACK! Thredstarter was on about Frazier never fought a power puncher or whatever. Not wanting to hurt anybody's feelings on a forum. Happy to help him finish his research. Frazier did indeed face one.
Very well said. As a Canadian I couldn’t be prouder of how well George represented everything he touched. He has tragic stories to tell, but listening to him will always end in a positive experience. He’s a great speaker. He was on the cbc radio only a few years ago. He admits to being able to beat up men in the gym as just a kid. It’s how he knew that maybe he had something. I’ll never forget his “Ali went to the hospital, I went out dancing with my wife.” He’s a treasure.
